Akira Takahashi (
Appearance[]
Akira has blondish hair with a middle part, earrings and a chain around his chest which he later removes. He keeps a goatee and there's a vertical scar on his eyebrow. He wears the trousers of the school's garukan but for the upper part he wears a large buttoned jacket with a T shirt under. He's later seen wearing a necklace with a medallion.
Personality[]
He has taken a liking to fighting as he mocks other students in order to start a brawl. Although his personal life is complicated as he's seen contemplating when the Fairy-Tale Card proposes them to remain in Danmara to escape real life.

When Momo and Okarun visit the Renjaku High School, he and others from Class B surround the two, wondering what they are doing there and Akira immediately examines Okarun to identify if he's a threat, scaring him. He watches in annoyance as his classmate Reo Yomoda touches Momo's hair, causing the class B leader Minehisa Mita to intervene, who then accompanies the two to Class D in order to find Unji. Akira and many other start mocking the other class and viceversa, hoping to start a fight.
He enters Danmara with the others to rescue Unji and with the final seal broken and the Fairy-Tale Card yokai now free, who immediately tries to convince them to stay, he looks down, defeated, pondering about the way he's living and reflects if he should stay inside Danmara due to him being treated like garbage in the real world.
Back on Earth after his and the yokai's escape, the spirit uses his powers to remove the teenagers' eyes, including Akira who shouts out in fear that he cannot see a thing. The spirit also brainwashes the other students and sends one after Akira, grabbing his shoulder. Akira, still in shock, asks who's touching him before he gets struck in the face, falling to the ground in the midst of the brawl.

Etymology[]
- Akira name uses the characters for "bright, clear, obvious" (明), while his surname, Takahashi, translates to "high, tall" (高) and "bridge, span, arch" (橋).
