The Ayase Residence is a home on the outskirts of Kamigoe City that is owned by the spirit medium Seiko Ayase. Previously, the dwelling only consisted of Seiko and her granddaughter Momo but has since grown slightly with residents ever since Momo started to have frequent encounters with supernatural forces, now currently including three boarders.
The residential area is surrounded by a fence with a few trees and its entrance is represented by a torii with a talisman attached by Seiko to ward off any evil spirits that may try to enter the territory. It consists of three structures: a shrine, a house, and a storage room.
Shrine[]
At the center of the residential area is a shrine that can be used to prevent cursed individuals from going berserk once inside.
House[]
At the left corner of the residential area is where the house is located. The house is of two floors with multiple windows and is setup with two door chimes to detect if the individual ringing the doorbell is either human or an evil spirit.
The first floor of the house is of a tatami living room with a flatscreen TV and usually a table whenever time for breakfast or dinner. From the living room, there are sliding doors that lead to an empty room that is used for guests, and from there, sliding doors that lead to the kitchen. Across the hall to the right is where the bathroom is located. On the right side of the living room are stairs that lead up to the second floor, which is where Momo's bedroom is at.
Following the Evil Eye's temporary residency that resulted in the house being reduced to nothing but debris and rubble, Seiko and Momo manage to recreate their house thanks to their cohorts acquiring nanoskin from Ludris.
Being made entirely out of nanoskin, the house is able to reconstruct itself to whatever the person inside is visualizing. In order to properly use the nanoskin, the person must have a solid mental image of what they want the house to look like or else they risk causing the house to become distorted, which will end up having the walls close in to crush them and whoever else is inside. The construct is also only as good as the person's imagination. This idea was thought up by Okarun to combat against Bamora in her kaiju suit's gigantic form.
Great Kinta Bodhisattiva, Zeta Version (グレートキンタ菩薩ゼータバージョン,Gurēto Kinta Bosatsu Zēta Bājon?) is a giant mecha construct used to combat against Bamora in her kaiju suit's gigantic form. When piloted by Kinta, the mecha proved to be very formidable, as its physical strength were great enough to damage the kaiju and leave a path of destruction in the Empty Space. Since the mecha was composed entirely of nanoskin, which is a fragile material, its durability was considerably weak and could easily be damaged. However, by continuously applying their imagination to the nanoskin, the pilot can have the mecha repair itself to give it a form of regeneration. The airbags constant inflation whenever the mecha received a direct hit also proved to be a hindrance when trying to pilot it or to make the choice to eject from it by trying to reach for the eject lever.
Initially, the mecha took the form of a giant Buddha resembling in posture to the Grand Buddha at Ling Shan. It had a V-fin, that was shaped from the Ayase Residence's torii, located at its forehead, a single-spiked left shoulder pad and a three-section left wing. Its hands and forearms were also quite large and had studded wrists. This form was created by accident on Momo's part while Kinta took charge of reconstructing the house after a giant Buddha statue popped into her head as "something big" that was needed to fight the kaiju.
The pilots for this form consisted of Momo, Okarun, Aira, the Evil Eye and Kinta. From what the five pilots learned from randomly pressing buttons at once in an attempt to get the mecha to move was that its right arm could move up and down, a cuckoo bird could pop out from its stomach, a tongue can stick out from its head, the pilot for the left shoulder could eject from their seat, and its left arm could detonate. It is also equipped with airbags if the mecha takes a direct hit.
After figuring out that the mecha could only be controlled through visualized movements, Kinta altered the appearance of the Buddha statue to have it more form fitting for battle. In this form, the V-fin is changed to sunglasses, the robe is changed into a sleeveless gi with a scarf draped over its shoulders, and circular plates are placed on its hips.
The pilot for this form was Kinta who controlled the mecha to fight in melee combat and perform improvised techniques. To handle the kaiju's invisibility, Kinta imagined the mecha's sunglasses as an infrared scope but was attacked before the feature could prove to be useful.
Techniques
Hot Wind Straight Fist Punch (熱風 正拳突,Neppū Seikentsuki?)
A technique Kinta used against the kaiju where he controls the mecha to throw a straight punch as he is pulled in by its tail. In the VIZ Manga, this is called Blazing Wind Seiken Zuki Punch.
Kinta controls the mecha to bring down a straight chop to his opponent. In the VIZ Manga, this is called Hyper Goura Slash.
Kinta controls the mecha to deliver an upward kick to his opponent. In the VIZ Manga, this is called Daedalus Ahyah.
Kinta controls the mecha's left arm to throw its detached right arm at the kaiju as a fired projectile.
A technique where Kinta controls the mecha to grab the kaiju by the tail and proceeds to spin it around rapidly until he lets go to send it crashing back a great distance. In the VIZ Manga, this is called Super Electrowave Hurricane.
A technique where Kinta controls the mecha to perform a spinning divebomb onto the kaiju while it is down. The attack was strong enough to destroy the kaiju's horns.
Irritated by Kinta's piloting that caused them to experience motion sickness, Momo and Aira took control of the mecha by applying their powers. While the mecha was wrecked by the kaiju, Aira applied her long Acrobatic Silky hair powers to the head while Momo used her psychokinesis to take control of the separated forearms from the shoulders.
Psychokinesis + Acrobatic Silky Hair
Momo using her psychic powers to control the mecha's hands.
Aira applying her Acrobatic Silky hair to the mecha.
The combined powers of Momo and Aira become large in scale when applied to the mecha. With Momo's psychokinesis controlling the hands, the mecha gains a greater reach to attack its enemies. With Aira's Acrobatic Silky hair, the mecha could restrain its enemies by wrapping the hair around them, which was used to give a clear form of the kaiju after it used invisibility.
Techniques
Powerbomb (パワーボム,Pawābomu?): After Aira uses her Acrobatic Silky hair to wrap the kaiju, Momo controls the mecha's detached arms to grab the kaiju and lift it high up into the air while twisting the two psychic lines. She then untwists the lines to spin the kaiju rapidly, causing it to become dizzy as she intended, and brings it down to smash the creature headfirst onto the ground in a powerbomb maneuver. The attack was devastating enough to create a giant crater within the Empty SpaceKamigoe City on impact and finish off Bamora to have the kaiju shrink down to regular size.
As a way to safely move an injured Okarun from the Ayase residence to Naki Hospital in preparation for the space globalists invasion, Mr. Mantis used the nanoskin to construct the Ayase house into a mobile home by visualizing eight legs with wheels and a truck head. He then drove them to their destination, albeit recklessly. The mobile home was constructed once again by Mr. Mantis Shrimp after he needed to return home to Chiquitita.
The house turned into a large bike by Momo.
The house turned into a model of a cat by Momo.
The house turned into an amalgamation of Aira's romantic thoughts.
Storeroom[]
At the right corner of the residential area is a storeroom.
