Let's Be Idols (アイドルやろうぜ Aidoru Yarō ze?) is the hundred twenty-eighth chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
In response to her singing, the Onbusuman, now much larger, reappears to crush Rin and prevents her from continuing with her song. Seiko informs the others that they are almost close to the scene of Mai's accident and asks that Momo and Okarun endure keeping the float moving until they get there. After regaining her memories of the time when she pleaded with her mother to take her to see Rin to apologize for not understanding her troubles in life, the Onbusuman reverts back to being Mai's spirit who finally gets the chance to make amends with Rin and asks that they become friends again, which Rin tearfully answers yes. The two then begin to sing as a duet to stop the animated building from chasing the float. After arriving at the venue, Rin sees Mai standing from a distance and yells out to her that she enjoyed the time she had singing and dancing with her in the past. Mai responses admitting that she was envious of her being dignified whenever she sang and that she only wanted to become an idol to live up to her mother's expectations, which made her perceive herself as the real traitor. Rin cries denying this and has Mai's spirit depart with a statement telling her that she was an idol to everyone around her because of her personality and willingness to do everything she could to meet everyone's expectations. Seiko then places her hand on Rin's shoulder as the young girl remembers having fun with Mai and her friends.
