Kawabanga (カワバンガ Kawabanga?) is the hundred twenty-ninth chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
At the Ayase house, Momo, Okarun, Seiko, the Turbo Granny, Rin, the Hayashi, and the Dashi Carriers eat dinner after completing their task of exorcising the Onbusuman. However, in unexpected turn of events, Mai's spirit changes into a guardian spirit who becomes bound to Rin due to wanting to see her become an idol before fully moving into the afterlife. Rin states that her goal has changed and that she now wants to become a writer of vampire romance fiction. Despite this, Mai continues to insist that Rin becomes an idol because of her singing talent. Momo suggests to Okarun and Rin that they should leave so that she could get some rest but is informed by Okarun that his second kintama is in the possession of someone else after Rin handed it over to the police box. Doubtful that the police allowed someone to collect it, Okarun tells Momo that he needs her help to check to see if it may still be at the police box by detecting its aura, which she agrees to do tomorrow. Momo then receives an apology from Rin, as she admitted that she misjudged her as a delinquent but has now realized that she is a good person, much to Momo's embarrassment to hear. Before leaving with Rin, Okarun gives his goodbye to Momo, which she noted that he said it without averting his eyes.
The next day, Momo walks with Okarun to the police box but becomes irritated with him for being incapable of looking at her directly as they make their way to the place. Momo senses the aura around the police box and tells Okarun that she does not detect his kintama. Momo and Okarun then decide to ask the Turbo Granny for help in pretending to be lost property at the police box and checking for data on the collected items to find out who took the kintama. After being bribed by them, the Turbo Granny agrees to cooperate.
