Game Cleared (ゲームクリア Gēmu Kuria?) is the hundred forty-eighth chapter of the Dandadan manga series.

Summary[]

After the crystal is destroyed, Momo, Okarun, Turbo Granny, and Unji run out of the castle as it starts to collapse. Unji becomes confused, as he thought that he had cleared the game, and is informed by Okarun that he was not supposed to have cleared it. The Turbo Granny explains that Danmara is not a board game but a cursed wicker trunk that is meant to trap an evil yokai through the power of a curse. Momo then asks the Turbo Granny if there were anything else they weren't supposed to destroy. The yokai answers no and that there should have been four seals in place. Hearing this, Momo becomes shocked to realize that the seals were the four bosses printed on the card and is berated by the Turbo Granny, being clarified that the bosses are actually guardian deities meant to keep the yokai locked away and that the Danmara intended on having people trapped release the yokai by setting itself up as a game. While everyone cheers as a sign congratulates them for completing the game, Momo asks the Turbo Granny what was sealed away. The Turbo Granny tells her that she does not know but believes that it is really dangerous if it was sealed in a cursed trunk. The yokai then shows and thanks the people who freed him. The Turbo Granny warns everyone to close their eyes, warning them that the yokai is known as the Fairy-Tale Card who has the ability to take over anything that makes eye contact with him. The Fairy-Tale Card recognizes the Turbo Granny's voice, takes note at how she has changed, and asks her if she is on the side of humans, with the Turbo Granny figuring out that the Fairy-Tale Card turned the trunk into a board game to have other break the seal for him, since he himself is unable to. The Fairy-Tale Card is then asked by Momo how they can escape and tells her that they can't, explaining that the only reason he allowed the Old Man Player and the girl from Unji's gang to leave is due to them not playing the game and to use them as pawns to lure more humans into the game by having them tell others about their experience inside. Momo demands to leave the world, telling the yokai that despite the various candies it tried pleasing them with she finds the world boring. The Fairy-Tale Card questions if her wanting to leave applies to the others as well as he points out the flaws of having to return to society and believes that they loathe the real world and want to turn it into chaos. After recalling a tragic memory from hearing the Fairy-Tale Card's words, the temporary leader of Unji's gang opens his eyes and attacks Unji after becoming possessed. Unji opens his eyes as well after being struck in the head and sees the Fairy-Tale Card as a person. The Fairy-Tale Card tells Unji that he in particular has lovely eyes and that he sees that he wishes to destroy this world and leave it in ruins. Unji then starts to undergo a transformation after the Fairy-Tale Cards takes possession of him.
