Unji Zuma (頭間雲児 Zuma Unji?) is the hundred fifty-third chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
After the death of their father, a young Unji and his younger brother sit in on a settlement meeting between their mother and their father's higher ups, who deny the woman's claim that they be the ones to blame for her husband's death, rebutting that it was his negligence and choice to work overtime in his job. At the apartment, the mother begs the landlord to extend her payment due date by next month but is refused and told to move out in light of her having to raise her children. While in the other room, Unji is asked by his younger brother if it was possible to fly through the sky with an umbrella and answers that he is unsure. While walking outside with his umbrella, Unji's younger brother is picked on by a few boys who mock him for constantly having an umbrella and wearing rubber shoes when in public but is soon defended by Unji. The younger brother then asked Unji if he was jealous of his umbrella. On a rainy night, Unji rushes outside after his younger brother does not return home and finds out that he had been in an accident at the river. After mourning his younger brother's death, Unji is taken by his mother to an amusement park where he enjoys himself. However, by the end, Unji tries letting go of his mother's hand as she tries to have them both commit suicide by getting run over by an upcoming train. In the end, Unji manages to free himself but loses his mother after she goes through with her action.
