Masamichi Bega (部賀正道 Bega Masamichi?) is the hundred fifty-seventh chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
As they walked to a gravesite, Unji declined to explain how he rescued Bega from drowning after he asked, stating he wouldn't waste his breath on a fool who jumps into a river. Bega retorted that an individual has only ten seconds to re-emerge before it's too late, to which Unji replied that it's pointless if he risks drowning as well. After they arrived at the Zuma Family grave, Bega is thanked by Unji for building the memorial and joins him in prayer. Unji takes the time to talk about his younger brother, Futa, sharing with Bega how the sheer joy Futa experienced upon receiving an umbrella and rubber boots from their mother was infectious, uplifting both him and their mother. Aware that his mother could no longer continue living without Futa, Unji wept for being the one who survived instead. Upon hearing this, Bega lays his hand on Unji's head and solemnly tells him that he must not die.
In the present, Momo regains consciousness following the conclusion of Unji's memories, which ends with Unji and Bega sharing a meal. Meanwhile, the Fairy-Tale Card denounces Okarun, Bega, and Rokuro as fools for obstructing Unji's liberty to wreak havoc and begins to merge with his body before Unji comes to his senses from hearing Bega's voice. The yokai then takes to the sky as he prepares to make his escape out of the cursed trunk. Upon reuniting, Momo expresses self-blame for the unfolding events, yet Okarun offers comfort, assuring her that all will be well, including the return of Unji. While fleeing from the delinquents, the Turbo Granny contacts Rin using the Serpo Phone, instructing her to release everyone from the cursed trunk, to which Rin confirms that she is prepared on her end.
