Kouki Yukishiro's Power (
Summary[]
Following Aira's guidance, Kouki asks the pygmies for their assistance in finding Murakami and expresses regret for her earlier disrespectful conduct towards them. Meanwhile, Murakami approaches Adachi, who stands uncomfortably in a revealing bunny outfit, after finishing his session on the exercise bike and becomes displeased with her unenthusiastic demeanor, which he strongly advises her to change if she wants to continue receiving his financial assistance for her mother's needs. Unbeknownst to him, Adachi holds a talisman behind her back. Kouki learns from the pygmies that Murakami is missing from the gym and promptly informs Aira. Realizing they have been deceived, Aira encourages Rin to keep singing a bit longer as they fend off the Severed Head Dribblers. Just as she starts to feel helpless standing and watching Aira and Rin fight, Kouki becomes shocked to see a piano built by the pygmies. Mai, Aira, and Rin then persuade Kouki to play, believing it could enhance Rin's abilities. As Kouki gets ready to play, memories of her mother's lessons flood back, causing her to struggle with the keys. Despite Kouki admitting her unfamiliarity with this type of piano, Aira insists she improvise and shares her admiration for Kouki's past performances, urging her to reconnect with her pianist spirit. Encouraged, Kouki tries again and successfully creates a melody. Aira is moved by the tune and asks Rin if her power is growing, to which Rin responds uncertainly. Mai speculates that Kouki's music doesn't amplify power or control the pygmies but serves a different purpose. Meanwhile, a swarm of flies is seen buzzing around Kamigoe City.
