Jumping Granny and Kung Fu Alien (ジャンピングババアとカンフーエイリアン Janpingu Babaa to Kanfū Eirian?) is the one hundred eighty-ninth chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
The clash between Okarun and the exosuit alien intensifies, as fleeting sweet and traumatizing memories from her home planet flash through her mind. She relentlessly attacks Okarun from all angles, forcing him to activate his boosters and crash into her headfirst. Opening her suit's mask, she bites Okarun's arm, who counters by deploying his pile bunkers mid-fall. As she charges at him for another attack, Okarun reacts with surprise to see that the face of the alien is not of the same race as the Kur. With a precise kick to his arm, she forces his palm against the nanoskin, compromising its durability as warned by Kinta earlier. The alien then charges up her exosuit to execute a powerful kick that obliterates Okarun's armor and sends him back. Hase, who had been focused on Kinta, notices her lethal intent and intervenes, declaring that only he has the right to beat Okarun. Using his Jumping Crone powers, he launches her skyward and slams her into the ground, bombarding her repeatedly with destructive jumps to ensure she stays down. During this brief respite, Okarun informs Kinta of his accidental touch on the nanosuit, prompting Kinta's frustration over the hard work invested. Realizing their only chance lies in merging, Kinta envelops Okarun in nanoskin. This choice results in a bizarre looking robot based off their vastly different design visions, with Okarun awkwardly carrying Kinta on his shoulders. Despite Kinta's superior robot control, he acknowledges that Okarun's combat-honed reflexes and sharp vision are critical for dodging enemy attacks. Hase, after hurling the barely conscious alien aside, orders her to stay out of his way. However, he is ambushed by the combined duo of Kinta and Okarun. Avoiding their attack, Hase feels insulted by their seemingly mockery-filled choice of weaponry, as though they underestimate his strength. The duo activates the verniers, barely parrying Hase's assault, but their attempt at the Blast Wind Thrust Attack is thwarted by Hase's astonishing speed. Enraged, Hase demands for Okarun to abandon the "absurd" mecha and, all while effortlessly tossing the duo around and dismantling them, face him directly in combat using his powers. Amid their struggle, Okarun reveals to Kinta that the nanoskin merge is a detriment, weighing them down and further damaging their gear. Kinta then becomes dumbfounded by this unexpected predicament.
