The Mistake (間違え Machigae?) is the one hundred ninety-first chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
Adachi encounters an unidentified man at the embankment beneath the overpass to transfer Murakami's power as directed by the orchestrator. During this meeting, the orchestrator contacts Adachi via phone, revealing that Murakami, like her, was also one of their subordinates tasked with gathering powers. This revelation shocks Adachi. The orchestrator points out Adachi's error, stating that Murakami was never designated as a target, and questions her motivation for pursuing him. Adachi responds that her suspicion of Murakami possessing powers drove her actions and assures the orchestrator that she will not repeat this mistake. Nevertheless, the orchestrator "disqualifies" her, citing not only her error but also her reliance on luck in acquiring Murakami's power after Koki utilized her Lord of the Flies ability. The orchestrator demands that she surrender her Asura and the power she received to the man. Adachi pleads for another opportunity, but the orchestrator denies her, explaining that her compassionate nature prevents her from successfully extracting power from someone with an ID Cosmos—individuals who are fearless and can only be defeated if their adversaries are willing to harm those close to them. Despite Adachi's protests about needing to assist her mother, she is attacked by the man, who insists she accept her defeat. Fortunately, Vega intervenes, kicking the assailant away and calling for backup. As Vega prepares to confront the man, a face card from the Fairy-Tale Card emerges from the man's back, startling Vega, who recognizes it. Realizing Vega is immune to the Fairy-Tale Card's control, the agent shifts tactics, taking control of Adachi to compel her to attack Vega. As Vega restrains Adachi, who he notices that has regained back her will, the man has already escaped.
At the airport, Seiko entrusts Manjiro with responsibilities during her absence, while her student advises her to prioritize her well-being due to her ongoing injury. Simultaneously, Momo attempts to call out to Bamora while perched on her shoulder but only succeeds in catching Jiji's attention. She expresses her concern to him, noting that Bamora has been unresponsive for some time, as if she cannot see her, and fears this may indicate the curse is advancing in transforming her into a pygmy. Meanwhile, Aira, Rin, and Koki reunite with Okarun and Kinta as they drag Hase's unconscious body.
