Clear Skies After the Storm (台風一過 Taifū Ikka?) is the one hundred ninety-ninth chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
Raiya looks out the window, astonished to see the Typhoon Human defeated. At the same time, Daiki recalls the time when Unji allowed him to stay at his apartment and vowed to help him. Both Raiya and Daiki are then left wondering about Unji's whereabouts. Daiki requests that Raiya take him to the cockpit, informing him that he has learned to pilot a plane from his father. He then expresses regret to Raiya, claiming he is not a good person worthy of receiving help from him and others, as he had bullied a classmate named Toru when he was still a kid. In a flashback, Daiki receives attention from his classmates as he shares his aspiration to become a pilot like his father. He then disparages Toru, suggesting that he would only ever be a garbage collector. Surprisingly, Toru happily accepts this suggestion and thanks Daiki, which confuses the latter. In the present, Daiki conveys that everything that has transpired in his life is karma for the way he treated Toru, and he wishes to become a better person like Raiya and Unji, planning to apologize to Toru. He also declares his intention to be of help to them no matter what. In the cockpit, Seiko almost passes out from exhaustion trying to read the instructions on how to fly the plane until Raiya and Daiki show up to inform her that Daiki can take over for her in flying the plane.
Meanwhile, Jiji is troubled about how he and the others will manage to return to the plane after defeating the typhoon. Noticing the Mongolian Death Worm flying off course, Momo requests for Naki to guide the worm to a higher altitude to reach Shimane. However, Naki refuses and reveals that she is steering the worm towards their hideout to make them human sacrifices. In response to this, the Evil Eye tries to emerge from Jiji, prompting Jiji to suppress the yokai. As Naki looks at Jiji to inform him that he will also be a sacrifice, Juichi warns Naki of danger ahead, as a giant shark flies directly towards the group ready to swallow them, much to everyone's fear. While the Kito Family and the Mongolian Death Worm are swallowed by the shark, Momo, the Evil Eye, and Unji leap off just in time. The Evil Eye, furious to reunite with the Kitos, attacks the shark, demanding that the family confront him. As the three of them fall from the sky, Momo urges Unji to use his umbrellas, only for Unji to respond that he has already used both. She then instructs the Evil Eye and Unji to hold onto each other while she uses her powers to act as a parachute. However, this attempt fails to slow their descent. Momo then notices the plane returning, with Seiko and Daiki also getting a clear view of them. Bamora communicates to Seiko about Jiji and Unji's location and advises her to maintain speed, which Seiko appreciates but wonders how Bamora figured out their location from her position. As the Evil Eye and Unji engage in a scuffle, Momo uses her powers to have all three of them latch onto the roof of the plane.
