Jiji and the Evil Eye (ジジと邪視 Jiji to Jashi?) is the two hundred and sixth chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
Based on Jiji's transformed appearance, along with his statement about being able to wield both the Evil Eye's power and his Evil Gun simultaneously, Enenra assumes that his opponent has fused with the yokai within him to achieve this form. However, Jiji corrects the assumption, explaining that the transformation is the result of him and the Evil Eye rapidly alternating control over his body, a process he likens to a flickering lightbulb, and adds that the technique was created simply so the two could play together. Upon hearing this, Enenra remarks that Jiji's core nature remains unchanged and disperses into smoke to infiltrate Jiji's lungs through his nose, attempting to suffocate him from within. In an effort to have Enenra cease, Jiji fires an Evil Gun at the smoke. However, he continues to struggle for breath as Enenra clarifies that not all smoke is part of him and that he merely uses it as a tool. He also takes note at how weak the power of his Evil Gun has gotten upon fusing. Enenra warns Jiji that he would have to revert to his normal form to clear the smoke, but denies him the chance, emerging violently from Jiji's mouth and nose, threatening to make him explode once he rematerializes. As the pressure mounts, Jiji recalls Enenra standing over Seiko, and her advice during their battle with the Typhoon Human, that with proper ki control, he should be able to fire his Evil Gun even through an obstruction. Drawing on this insight, Jiji fires his Evil Gun through his own body, successfully forcing Enenra out. He then approaches Enenra while covering his nose and groin to block reentry. Enenra scoffs at his confidence and shifts into smoke again. However, Jiji counters with a point-blank shot from his Evil Gun, revealing that repeated hits shorten the yokai's transformation window. After grabbing Enenra and swapping places with the Evil Eye, the Evil Eye expresses his fury over his opponent for standing over Seiko, the woman who chose to make him part of her family, and unleashes a barrage of punches, launching Enenra out of the castle and into a nearby pond where he lies unconscious. Peering through the hole left behind, Jiji remarks that the Evil Eye went a bit overboard. While carrying Seiko, he states that he wanted to scold Enenra himself, to clarify that Seiko could have easily taken him down on her own if she was at full strength.
