Summary[]
As the Serpo draw near, Okarun grabs Momo's hand to escape, aware that neither of them can harness their powers to defend themselves. When three Serpo assault Momo with the Awesome Zone, Okarun steps in to protect her. The Serpo realize their attack was repelled, while Okarun perceives that the effects are different, understanding it is due to his ki training and realizes that he has the Oni Club on his person. Momo tries to use the whistle given to her by Sanjome to call for help and alert the police but is told by Okarun that it won't be effective and suggests conserving their energy while heading to Jiji's house to formulate a plan. The Serpo seek Mr. Dris's assistance in capturing the fleeing duo and question if his delay is related to the body he is using, proposing he should find another one. Mr. Dris manipulates one of his bandages to slide under his bicycle and causes the road to vanish. Noticing the ground changing prior to the disappears, Okarun warns Momo and catches her as she falls into the abyss. After Okarun pulls her to safety, they see a few Serpo falling while others remain safe on white surfaces, realizing that anything white acts as a platform. The Serpo chastise Mr. Dris for including them in the technique and inform him that they can capture Momo and Okarun dead or alive. After Momo asks who they are facing, Okarun warns her that they are aliens, though she doubts him, pointing out the mummy on the bicycle. Using the Oni Club, Okarun blocks Mr. Dris's swift sword attack, sustaining a minor cut on his left arm, and checks on Momo to ensure she is alright. He then reassures her, explaining that he has learned to wield the Oni Club through ki training and transforms it into a batting weapon.
