The Evil Eye (邪視 Jashi?) is the thirty-ninth chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
Jiji notices the evil spirit in front of him and sees that Momo and Okarun are behaving normally now. After the evil spirit turns to look at the three, the Turbo Granny warns them to not look him in the eyes, informing them that the evil spirit is the Evil Eye, a spirit who manipulates people into committing suicide, which is clashing and canceling out the Tsuchinoko's psychic suicide waves. With the Tsuchinoko and the evil eye being at a stalemate with each other, Okarun takes the opportunity to attack the worm by launching himself to behead it. However, the Tsuchinoko regrows its head and goes back on a rampage. While Jiji and Momo run away, Jiji asks the Evil Eye for confirmation on whether or not he was the one responsible for his parents' fate. The Evil Eye then makes eye contact with Jiji, showing him memories of when he was scarified as a child and how he fruitlessly tried to help a boy that was prepared to be sacrificed by the Kito Family long ago, which led to him becoming known as the Evil Eye after swearing vengeance on the people responsible for the deaths of him and many others.
