Let's Eat Some Takoyaki (タコヤキを食べよう Takoyaki o Tabeyō?) is the seventy-third chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
At the dinner table, Aira becomes displeased to have Bamora join them after almost being killed by her. Jiji justifies her being here by stating that it is because she is pretty, leading to Aira chastising him for this reason. Meanwhile, Seiko tells Kinta, who becomes preoccupied looking at the talking maneki-neko doll eating, to eat despite not knowing who he is. Seeing Aira mad at Bamora for not responding to her, Kinta lets her know that she is unable to understand human language and ask that she forgive her for his sake, much to Aira's disgust. Okarun informs them that Mr. Mantis Shrimp is currently working on the translator for Bamora and that hopefully the misunderstanding will be cleared, clarifying that Bamora's intentions of fighting them was to find a husband who is stronger than her in battle, which shocks Momo and Aira upon learning this information. This then leads to the two girls berating her in that they were the ones who defeated her and not Okarun. Kinta jumps in to take credit as well, justifying that even though they dealt the final blow it was him who pushed her to her limit and therefore giving him the right to marry her. Having said this, Kinta receives complaints from Momo and Aira that he finds pleasurable. As he helps feed Bamora, Okarun looks to see Momo angry glaring at him but only takes note on how much she has been eating, resulting in Momo questioning him if that was all he noticed from her. Momo then decides to sit next to Okarun while giving angry looks at Bamora who imitates her facial expressions back at her.
Shortly after, Momo develops a stomachache from eating too much and puts the blame on Okarun. Okarun is then asked by Momo if Bamora has the kintama and answers that with her unable to understand their language they can't know for sure. Momo tells him that she still views Bamora as their enemy and to not let his guard down after the sudden kiss earlier. Though he says that he won't, Okarun is looked at by Momo with doubt and desperately tries to not look her in the eyes to avoid looking suspicious. The two then hear Jiji calling out for Okarun to come outside to take a look at Bamora's kaiju suit he and Kinta found to be interesting. After having Bamora unintentionally give him permission to wear her suit, Jiji accidently causes the suit to send out an alert to the alien who has recently dealt with the Serpo, along with a few other aliens in the shadows.
