- This is the article on the fictional term used in the series. For the manga series, head to Dandadan. For other uses, see Dandadan (Disambiguation).
The term Dandadan (ダンダダン?) was first mentioned by Count Saint-Germain after he asked the Fairy-Tale Card if he happened to be familiar with it. Though it remains unclear what it specifically entails, Dandadan is hinted by Count Saint-Germain to be related to the paranormal, as the man is a collector of such things and seeks to acquire it above all else.
Trivia[]
- In chapter 163, Dandadan is represented by a series of mandalas depicting the Center Eight Petal Hall commonly associated with the Womb Realm. This would imply that Dandadan makes a connection to Buddhism, or at least the Buddhas of the Center Eight Petal Hall.
- Sharing the same name as the series, Dan in "Dandadan" means "story" (談) and is commonly used as a suffix for three terms:
- "ghost story" (怪談) (kaidan)
- "strange story" (奇談) (kidan)
- "experience" (体験談) (taiken-dan)
