The Earthbound Spirit Crab (地縛霊蟹 Jibakurei Kani?) is an earthbound spirit that was previously bound to a tunnel in Shono City.
Appearance[]
The earthbound spirit took on the form of a giant freshwater crab. On the back of its shell were the faces of the girls who were previously murdered within the tunnel. On its belly side, the earthbound spirit had four rows of mouths with noses and two large eyes.
Personality[]
After being comforted by the Turbo Granny, the Earthbound Spirit Crab became very protective of her.[1]
Background[]
The earthbound spirit came to be after several girls were murdered within a tunnel in Shono City. Some time ago, the Turbo Granny entered the tunnel to console the earthbound spirit, since the spirit comprised of girls who died horribly, and the two came to fuse their beings together.[1]
Synopsis[]
Turbo Granny Arc[]
After Momo and Okarun manage to capture the Turbo Granny, the Earthbound Spirit Crab chases after them to free her before they could leave Shono City.[2] While on the pursuit, the Earthbound Spirit Crab is led to a bathhouse at an inn and falls for Momo's trap in being boiled in hot water, causing it to be slowed down as planned.[3] Using the spirits from a nearby cemetery to take control of the citizens, the Earthbound Spirit Crab and the Turbo Granny manage to corner Momo and Okarun and fuse together to put an end to them.[4] However, after Momo uses her psychokinesis to grab on to a moving train heading towards Kamigoe City, the Turbo Granny-fused Earthbound Spirit Crab continues with their chase but soon realize that they were being led to a trap set up by Seiko, resulting in the earthbound spirit being exorcised.

- The Earthbound Spirit Crab likely takes inspiration from the Heikegani, a type of crab with a face-like pattern on its shell, thought to be the reincarnation of warriors lost in the battle of Dan-no-Ura.
