Empty Space (虚空 Kokū?) is an alternate dimension that aliens are able to summon once they are hostile towards a high spiritual human, serving as a battleground from which there is no way out for their enemies.

Empty Space is an alternate dimension that is summoned through some form of advanced alien technology, which gradually expands outwards into the real world to replicate the surrounding enviroment. Regardless of whoever is responsible for the confrontation, Empty Space traps any high spiritual human at a nearby radius, as Aira and Jiji suddenly found themselves within it after Bamora's kaiju suit enlarged in Kamigoe City to chase after Momo, Okarun and Kinta. The range of the Empty Space seems to be very vast, as the one controlled by Serpo and Bamora during the flight to Shimane reached the stratosphere and covered thousands of meters over the sea. Empty Space can be either deactivated by the alien caster if they choose, if the timer on the technology runs out or if the object or alien manifesting it gets destroyed.
Appearance[]
Empty Space takes the setting of wherever the confrontation between an alien and a human takes place but within a dark space. Though this is the case, any damage done does not adversely affect the real world once left.

Kintama Hunt Saga[]
Turbo Granny Arc[]
An Empty Space was casted within the vicinity of the Ayase residence upon the Flatwoods Monster's arrival to confront Momo and Okarun to retrieve their banana organs. Soon after the Flatwoods Monster was defeated by Momo, the Empty Space vanished.
Serpo Arc[]
The Serpo casted an Empty Space inside Kami High in pursuit of extracting Turbo Granny's powers from Okarun. The Empty Space vanished after the Serpo Dover Demon Nessie was defeated.
Kaiju Arc[]
Upon confronting the Apartment Complex Ghost for the golden ball, an Empty Space was casted after finding out its true identity to be a kaiju. The Empty Space had a radius wide enough to reach Jiji and Aira. With the kaiju defeated, the group were sent out of Empty Space.
Space Globalists Arc[]
Upon the Kur's arrival, three separate Empty Spaces were casted to confront Jiji and Aira, Okarun by himself and then Momo alone at the Moe Moe Kikoho. Five days after their initial appearance, an Empty Space was casted within the Kofun Burial Mound to commence the Kur's invasion. The Empty Space even started tearing apart because of the massive damage caused by the Kur's warships. It vanished after Reiko Kashima entered it and defeated the rest of the Kur.
Current Saga[]
Kozuka Knives Arc[]
Upon the History and Culture Research Club's pursuit of Koki Yukishiro, an Empty Space was casted on Momo, Okarun, and Aira inside a home economics classroom at Kami High, serving as a battle ground for the pygmies to attack the trio and defend Koki. Later on, Bamora was able to access the Empty Space through her exosuit, expanding it to the whole school and causing Queen to enter. It later dissipated on its own.
Typhoon Human Arc[]
On their way to Shimane, Bamora was instructed by Jiji to activate Empty Space to avoid civilians getting hurt on the plane due to the subterraneans suddenly attacking them. Momo, Jiji, Bamora, Seiko, Unji, Daiki and Raiya were transported in Empty Space along with the Kitos. Naki, seeing this technology, exclaims that even though she knew they weren't ordinary people, she never expected them to side with the aliens. Soon after, the Serpo teleported the Typhoon Human from the Philippines inside Empty Space and it later vanished because it apparently ran out from Bamora's suit. Nobody seemed to notice their prolonged absence.
Shimane Arc[]
After being lured by Enenra to a Matsue Castle replica, which Reptilian was secretly disguised as, Momo and Bamora decided to stay behind and activate Empty Space to hold off and take down the alien while Jiji rushed a gravely injured Seiko to the hospital. The duo ended up victorious as they blew up Reptilian from the inside out with his bifido bacteria's firecrackers, their explosion caused by the Moe Moe Tri-Beam unleashed by Momo. Because the kaiju's endurance gauge was depleted during the battle, Empty Space ended abruptly.
