WARNING! |
Family vs. Kur is a battle that took place in Empty Space opened over the city of Tokyo. Momo struggles to take down Hastur and the Jet Booster Exosuit Kur, who soon receive back up from the active warp gate. However with the arrival of Okarun and everybody else, including the Evil Eye, they stand together and fight the myriad of space globalists side by side to stop the Kur Invasion of Earth.
Prologue[]
Now that everybody has accessed Bamora's memories thanks to Momo's ability and observed her troubled past on Sumer razed to the ground by the Kur, they all regain the strength necessary to take down their irredemable opponents. At the same time, Okarun reaches Tokyo and enters Empty Space, informing his friends about the power of the spiral which he was taught by Seiko and the Turbo Granny after he accidentally travelled to Hokkaido in his astral projection. Aira and Jiji listen to him and they synergize it with their special moves and the Power of Words to obliterate their enemies. Meanwhile Momo struggles, considering that Hastur's exosuit can nullify her Moe Moe Tri-Beam and because she has to simultaneously defend Bamora from the Jet Booster Exosuit Kur because her kaiju is recovering its endurance gauge. She barely lands any hits and a huge group of aliens soon arrive at the fight scene, cornering the girls. Momo loses hope but decides to stand her ground to protect Bamora, taking on the army all alone. Her bravery is punished, as she's sent flying into poles, electrocuted and crushed, unable to counter. The two are taken hostage by the Kur but before they can execute them, Okarun arrives just in time.
Battle[]
Okarun using the power of the spiral to save Momo.
By deploying the spiral power to ride the spin of the magnetic waves in the transmission lines, Okarun gains an incredible amount of speed and when he finally releases it, a devastating electric force travels through the battlefield with him inside it, slashing every enemy in his path and amputating the alien strangling Momo. Hastur freezes up in confusion and turns around, seeing more and more of his allies being blasted away by Okarun's electric dash through the power lines, even ricocheting off the ground to eliminate as many enemies as possible. Before Momo can even fall onto the concrete, Okarun zooms her way and catches her in his arms, as he discharges the remaining electricity around him. The boy looks at her and thanks for the delicious curry she had prepared for him, although Momo bursts into tears and hugs him, admitting that it actually was a field ration. Okarun is saddened but she begs him to save Bamora, who's currently immobilized in the air by a Kur. Out of nowhere, Aira unleashes her Pirouette, Noble Drill to excavate through the massive alien holding Bamora hostage, freeing her. She's surprised that Momo is still alive and the latter is very happy to see her, including Mr. Mantis Shrimp who charged at some aliens and delivered a strong blow that catapulted them back. Because Jiji hasn't appeared yet, Momo shares her worries with Okarun, who strangely tells her that something extremely bad is happening. Suddenly, a golem-like Kur is annihilated with one punch by the Evil Eye, ready to tussle with Okarun because it's a tuesday.
The Family standing together against the Kur.
The excited yokai approaches the boy when he's suddenly shot by a Kur wielding the Exosuit, irritating him and prompting him to throw a giant mallet, blasting him away. The Evil Eye turns around to the crowd of intimidating aliens, demanding to know who they are and informing them that because they are going to get in the way during their duel, him and the others will have to kill them. The Family stares down at the army, preparing for the brawl. Momo shouts and everybody rushes forward at the same time, with the Evil Eye throwing a powerful hook at a Kur while Mr. Mantis Shrimp too runs and punches the aliens in his way. Aira elevates herself and turns her hair into a thin, long drill to penetrate the face of her giant opponent. The Kur retaliate and some shoot powerful beams in their direction, forcing Momo to put up her powers and deflect one to protect Bamora. And simultaneously, Okarun dashes and smashes an alien's face with his feet, causing the enemies behind him and on his sides to stumble back. The fallen Kur reveal the line of soldiers delivering support fire from the back and they focus on Okarun, razing the road under him to the ground. To dodge the bullet storm, he again shifts his body into a spiral to synergize with the power line behind him, following Turbo Granny's instructions on how to enter and exit the winding cable. Now fully charged, he bursts out and pierces two adversaries as he tries to stop his momentum on the concrete. The Kur redirects their line of fire his way but he again makes use of the fallen cables, completely decimating the enemy force through sheer cataclysmic speed.
The Evil Eye annihilating the Ta Komeshi user.
Momo remains in awe at Okarun's performance and points out how powerful he has become, yet Bamora tries to alert her about the massive alien trying to crush them with their fists. Momo is taken off guard and tries to keep her shield up despite her weak power due to the Moe Moe Tri-Beam she had released earlier, though it's not needed anymore when out of nowhere the Evil Eye uses the exosuit of a dead Kur to slice the ambusher in half. The yokai is adamant to fight with Okarun even in a moment like this and throws the armor onto the cable he's travelling in, snapping it in half and expelling him from its extremity. The boy rolls onto the ground and can't catch a breath before the yokai tries to crush him with his leg and unleashes a barrage of punches and kicks, which Okarun manages to dodge. The Evil Eye is overjoyed and ignores Momo's request to stop when the two fighters are suddenly both struck in the face by the Jet Booster Exosuit's feet, interrupting their duel. The two are ready to retaliate when suddenly the Evil Eye is pounded by countless mechanical mallets belonging to a Kur wielding an alternate model of the Ta Komeshi. Aira recognizes it from their previous battle and Okarun gets back on his feet to help the spirit, although he's kicked in the nose by the Jet Booster Exosuit Kur once again. The two engage in their quick-paced rematch in which the alien remains on the offensive and throws two consecutive hooks at Okarun, who evades them by manuevering his neck around while in the air. Upon landing he's forced to duck under a high kick and he then has to leap out of the way because the adversary has activated her jet boosters while she's on the ground to perform a sliding tackle. In the meantime, the Ta Komeshi user boasts about his exosuit that allows him to target the spirit's vitals and weak points from any angle, rendering escape impossible. The Evil Eye furiously delivers a punch that obliterates the enemy and sends a powerful beam of spiraling energy that destroys anything in its path.

The yokai shouts to the crowd that at first he had let them live because their exosuits looked cool, however after numerous requests and their constant interruptions, he has grown tired of them and begins rampaging his way through the enemy army, killing anybody who meets his fists and unleashing destruction all around him. Okarun is still dueling with the Jet Booster Exosuit Kur, evading her jabs as he tries to get away. Once far enough, the alien cooperates with Hastur and leaps to deliver a downward hook as he carves the distance between her and Okarun, giving him no time to dodge. Thankfully, Momo has grown familiar with his tactics and launches a patch of rocks at her, stopping the attack. She regroups with Okarun and warns him about Hastur's dangerous arsenal, advising him to keep his distance. The two humans and the two aliens observe each other to see who's going to make the first move. Suddenly, the Hastur's ally activates her jet boosters and races forward to kill Momo. The girl can't manifest her powers quick enough and opts to defend the lethal blast with her arms. Okarun had predicted her and he has already hopped in one of the fallen power lines, using it to accelerate with the power of the spiral and exit towards her at a tremendous speed, landing with his feet right into her stomach. Together they crash into a tower and he uses her as a cushion to turn around and return to Momo, while the Jet Booster Exosuit Kur is incapacitated and her suit breaks down. Hastur uses this window of opportunity to extract the space separating him from the duo and prepares to emit a barrage of debris to flatten them at point-blank. Okarun is left with no choice and goes all-out, hoping to pierce through the enemy before his ability can activate. Hastur immediately changes his plan and instead uses the space he had just carved out to put as a barrier between him and Okarun, wasting his ability.
Hastur carving the space Momo is contained in.
The boy is still stuck there due to the momentum and screams at Momo that he can't reach him, prompting her to throw a massive rock at the opponent and simultaneously drive Okarun back with her powers. Hastur parries the debris and carves the space around it until the projectile is nothing but a thin rocky line. He then redirects the collected material towards them although Okarun uses his speed to carry himself and Momo out of the blast which also catches some of the other Kur, showing just how far Hastur is willing to go to eliminate them. The duo keeps their distance and try to come up with a plan, informing the other that their special abilities are nullified by his abilities and if they both tried to unleash them again, they would run out of energy. They circle around the leader while he keeps bombarding them with carved space beams and Momo notices that he has been carrying the debris in a container installed on his back. Okarun theorizes that he also stores the space he carves in there, meaning that his back must be a sort of different dimension to contain it. Hearing this, Momo is reminded about Rokuro Serpo's statement in their previous battle together and devises a strategy to beat Hastur after realizing that she's the only one who can. She orders Okarun to charge at him and he agrees despite the absurdity of her request as they keep dodging Hastur's spatial cannons. Momo augments her powers to drag a gigantic pile of concrete and rocks to launch it towards the adversary in order to distract him by having him stay on the defensive and continuously carve the flying projectiles coming his way. Momo apologizes to Okarun for what she's about to do and orders him to get away as she hops off his back and charges up a Moe Moe Tri-Beam right in Hastur's face. Unexpectedly, Hastur swings his arm and catches the space Momo is contained in, erasing her from reality. Everything slows down in Okarun's mind, including Aira, Mr. Mantis Shrimp and Bamora who are still fighting the aliens, believing that Momo's plan has failed and she had actually died.
Okarun finishing off Hastur.
As Okarun shrieks in distress, Hastur freezes up and Momo astonishingly emits her Moe Moe Tri-Beam from the inside of the exosuit's container, which she was teleported into because her power allowed her to bypass dimensions, a phenomenon she discovered while battling Imotako. Half of Hastur's exosuit is obliterated but he remains active and tries to shred her with his other arm to kill her once and for all, shouting that whatever he possesses or not still belongs to him, a desperate claim for his wish to turn Momo into an exosuit. The girl's spiritual power runs out and she screams for Okarun's help, who immediately warps through a transmission cable and goes all-out once again to blast his way through Hastur, completely destroying his exosuit and catching Momo in his arms before he can put one finger on her. Now both without powers, they roll several meters on the concrete and they recover with Momo thanking Okarun for his help. The boy unexpectedly grabs her shoulders with force and screams at her due to her recklessness, pointing out that she could have seriously died. He catches his breath and calms down as Momo admits that he's right, giving them a short moment of solace. The overall conflict is not yet over and a massive explosion brings them back to reality, sending them flying. They run around powerless but they are defended by Aira, Mr. Mantis Shrimp and the Evil Eye who take down the enemies trying to take advantage of their situation. A robotic Kur blocks their path and charges up their weapon to blast them away when they are thankfully saved by Bamora, who gives it a strong kick to launch it away on top of another enemy inside her now functioning kaiju. Aira keeps drilling through the aliens with her hair and orders Momo to hurry up and close the warp gate to stop the huge influx of aliens. She understands but points out that they can't move freely due to all the commotion around them so Aira tells them to follow Mr. Mantis Shrimp, using him as their bodyguard to traverse the battlefield.
Aftermath[]
Hastur taking over Bamora's kaiju.
Out of the ruins of their battle against Hastur, the alien shockingly crawls out unharmed, furious that his exosuit had been destroyed. Noticing Bamora taking on the army with her giant kaiju, he decides to climb it with his tentacles and enters through its mouth, warning the girl inside that there's an intruder. Bamora is too slow and Hastur immobilizes her, claiming her suit as his own. The kaiju begins to tremble so Aira reaches out to check on her when the exosuit unexpectedly whips its tail at her, which she narrowly blocks with her hair but is sent crashing into the road. The Family watches in confusion Hastur piloting the kaiju, who thanks to the countless years of rampaging by piloting exosuits, knows fully well how to pilot it and unleashes the kaiju's Slaughter Mode, granting the exosuit a far bigger and menacing aspect. Momo and Okarun try to escape its range of destruction when he suddenly spots something coming of the monster's mouth, revealed to be Hastur preparing to throw Bamora down from a tremendous height. They all panic and Aira scrambles to surpass the crowd of aliens in her way to rescue her. Without warning, the path is cleared by none other than Kinta on his nanoskin motorbike, who had read the note at the Ayase residence's grounds meant for Seiko and mistook it as a request for him to come and help them.
