She is the mother of Jiji.

Appearance[]

She has short, auburn hair with bangs that reaches past her chin. While in the hospital, she wore a simple gown. Around the time she and her family came to the Ayase residence intending to help repair the family's house, she wore a jacket underneath a vest, trousers and shoes.

Personality[]

Much like her son, she possesses a highly enthusiastic, hyperactive, and eccentric personality. Instead of allowing Jiji to ride along with her and his father to the Ayase residence, she made him chase after their truck, all while doing finger bang gestures to address how slow he is, and shouted announcing their arrival. Nevertheless, she acted calm and courteous when graciously expressing her gratitude to Seiko for caring for her son while they were hospitalized.

Background[]

She and her family moved to Byakuja Village after her husband found work at a university. At one point, the parents became aware of their son Jiji's growing unease about their home, being informed that there were possible signs of paranormal activities, but were doubtful of his assertions. After the parents fell ill following Jiji's unexpected encounter with an evil spirit in their house, the family felt compelled to hire spirit mediums to cleanse the property. Unfortunately, this resulted in five out of three spirit mediums taking their own lives. Later, Jiji returned home to discover his mother and father hanging themselves from the balcony. In a panic, Jiji rushed to cut the ropes, but upon returning to his mother, she pleaded with him to allow her to die. She and her husband were then taken to the hospital for treatment, leaving Jiji to address the situation on his own by taking one of the spirit mediums advise to reach out to Seiko Ayase.

Kintama Hunt Saga[]

Cursed House Arc[]

Jiji visits his parents in the hospital, overcome with emotion at seeing them safe and recovering. This reunion is then met with confusion from the parents as Jiji started moving strangely, unaware that their son is wearing the body of an anatomical model who is urged by Momo to match the emotional weight of the moment.

Evil Eye Arc[]

After Okarun successfully subdued the Evil Eye, Jiji's mother and father arrive at the Ayase residence to pick him up, expressing heartfelt gratitude to Seiko for caring for their son. Seiko, burdened by guilt for placing Jiji in danger and causing him emotional distress, bows deeply and asks for forgiveness. Jiji's mother responds with reassurance, acknowledging her sincere efforts. The Enjoji family then departed after Jiji expressed his gratitude to his friends.

Kaiju Arc[]

The following morning, the Enjoji family drive back to the Ayase residence wanting to assist with house repairs after the destruction caused by the Evil Eye. During the drive, the mother has Jiji chase after their car, motivating him from the passenger window to keep up with them, much to her son's concern as her head remains dangerously outside. As they arrive, she enthusiastically announces their return, prompting her husband to gently remind her that there is no need to shout. Her bravado abruptly gives way to confusion when she sees the Ayase residence fully restored. The commotion draws out Momo, who calmly asks them to keep their voices down, explaining that her grandmother is sleeping.
