Joo (
Appearance[]
Joo is a woman with shoulder length hair, with a bang that covers the right side of her face, lipstick, an earring on her left ear, and a beauty mark located under the left side of her mouth. As for her attire, she wears a nurse's cap, a single buttoned up collar, and a loose uniform that exposes her shoulders.
Personality[]
Joo has a very strict attitude when it comes to the students at Kami High. She possesses zero tolerance for any acts of bullying from any student, viewing those who do as cowards, and is not above reprimanding them physically to address such behavior. Additionally, what she despises most of all are delinquent students who try to play the victim card, which results in her losing her temper. Despite this, Joo has proven herself to be a rational individual, assessing the sensibility of each side of the story before passing judgement, and is empathetic, attentively listening to her students' concerns, whether they relate to insecurities, anxieties, or even spiritual matters. She also has a tendency addressing people as "baldie".
Synopsis[]
Kintama Hunt Saga[]
Serpo Arc[]
After Momo, Okarun, and Aira are seen in their underwear by the other students out in the halls earlier, Joo questions them about the incident on whether this was an act of bullying. She then receives a message from a colleague, who she berates for not knocking first before entering, about a phone call for her in the staff room and leaves the three students alone to answer.
Current Saga[]
Pygmy Princess Arc[]
After being sent to Empty Space, Joo observes from outside her office as Kouki is pursued by Kinta on his nanoskin hoverboard. She intervenes with her baton, striking him down under the impression that he, Jiji, and Bamora are bullying her.[1] Joo takes Kouki word in that the members of the History and Culture Research Club assaulted her together and demands for the culprit who hurt her to present themselves. Jiji and Bamora counters Kouki's claim, telling Joo that Kouki was the one who assaulted Momo. While Kouki denies these allegations, Joo examines her injuries and highlights the inconsistencies between her current explanation and her earlier assertion of not knowing Jiji and being outnumbered, despite having the support of the pygmies she is clearly able to see. Joo explains to Kouki that through her student's consulting with her on spiritualism she has come to see spirits and promises not to judge her until she confesses the truth. Touched by Joo's words, Kouki confesses to attacking Momo and offers an apology. Angry with her for pretending to be the victim, Joo becomes prompted to slap Kouki and is held back by Jiji and Bamore from assaulting her any further.[2]
Later, Joo and the History and Culture Research Club listen to Kouki's story about how she had been coerced by a teacher to steal Momo's power in order to keep social media account a secret.[3]
