The Kamigoe Ruins are an area inside Kamigoe City which was bombed during World War II. A woman died in the attack and was transformed into the powerful yokai Reiko Kashima, who kept living there even after her death.

Space Globalists Arc[]
Momo gets distracted by Bamora's exosuit's golden ball, causing them to be late to school. Ayase brings her to a shortcut and gets her to bow once, clap twice and walk on the edges of the ruins. She explains how her grandma prohibited her from entering it because of the danger although the way to school is much shorter. She points out how the place gets more run-down every day and wonders when it will all crumble to the ground. Bamora points out a gigantic female yokai who was applying lipstick to her lips until she noticed them. She asks the two if she's pretty, yet Momo immediately begins screaming "Pomade" in fear. The yokai lands a powerful blow which sends her crashing through the ruins.
Momo and Bamora try fighting back, destroying the ruins even further, but they quickly get overwhelmed by her overwhelming strength. Reiko Kashima points out that the ruins are entirely covered in glass shards, rendering escape impossible. Bamora gets trapped inside the yokai's mirror but Momo distracts the enemy by throwing debris around and calling her ugly. She tries to run away with the mirror, hoping to free the alien girl, but she too gets sent into the mirror dimension.
The two block Kashima's view of herself in the mirror, enraging her and getting her to launch them out of the object. While she happily gets to see her face again, Momo and Bamora hide and begin shouting "Pomade" up to ten times to have the yokai disappear. Reiko wrecks the buildings in search of them in vain. The duo, which has been hiding inside the Kaiju exosuit with retro-reflective projection active to render them invisible, finish the ritual and finally leave the ruins.
Momo tells Seiko about what they did, so she berates her and points out how Reiko Kashima will now leave her ruins and come searching for her after 10PM for atleast two weeks.
Reiko Kashima finally finds Momo at the climax of the Kur Invasion and celebrates. Ayase, who wishes to see her granny, suddenly makes the yokai remember herself burning to death in the ruins, calling out for her mother. Seeing the Kur's Main fleet raze the city to the ground, she uses her powers to completely annihilate the aliens.
After watching Okarun and Momo's love bickering, she decides to leave the ruins and find herself a man who she can spend the rest of her afterlife with. She threatens to steal Takakura from her if she doesn't get more direct with her love before she runs away, calling out for her future man.
Kozuka Knives Arc[]
The Kur who wielded the Jet Booster Exosuit awakens to find herself out of her suit and in the ruined territory of Reiko Kashima. As she struggles to stand on her feet, she is approached by Count Saint-Germain, who casually asks if the suit is hers. With the exosuit now defunct, Count Saint-Germain suggests she seek a replacement. When the Kur demands to know his intentions, the Count Saint-Germain reveals he needs her assistance with a certain matter. He offers her the choice of declining, but warns that without his help, surviving on Earth's heavy gravity will be nearly impossible — a fact that becomes painfully clear as she struggles to stand while speaking to him.
