She dresses in a very elegant way, wearing a dark sweater under her coat and she also has an earring on her right ear. She wears lipstick and her blonde hair reaches her shoulders, with her bangs only covering the left part of her forehead.

She cared a lot about her daughter, willing to pick up her friend Rin to see her succeed in the audition.
Background[]
The day of the audition, Mai's mother phoned Rin, informing her that she has frozen up and despite her friends encouraging her, Mai said she can't compete without her. She was willing to contact Rin's mother and asked if she could perform with her at the audition. Rin, who was stuck at home, initially wanted to decline, but her grandmother ordered her to go, telling her to live a life without regrets.
Mai's mother understood and hung up the phone, but when she was about to leave, her daughter shouted that she was going with her. Her mother politely declined as she was surrounded by her friends and needed to compete soon, telling her that if they called her name she should go without her, keeping her head up and doing her best. However, Mai broke down in tears as she realized she said terrible things to Rin and wasn't aware of her family situation, wondering how she could have been her friend any longer.
Hearing this, her mother allowed Mai to come and pick up Rin, but unfortunately, a few minutes after leaving the audition they were involved in a car accident that took both of their lives.
