Momo Ayase, Jiji, Unji Zuma, Kito Family and Tsuchinoko Hatchling vs. Typhoon Human is a battle that took place inside the Empty Space generated on a plane flying over the Sea of Japan. The Kitos' revenge against the Family is abruptly stopped by the sudden appearance of the Typhoon Human, compelling the two sides to form a temporary truce. Because the ritual in Shimane cannot be delayed, they will have to get creative to take down such a powerful natural disaster and resume their journey.

Prologue[]

The arrival of the Typhoon Human.

The arrival of the Typhoon Human.

The Serpo feared that Count Saint-Germain might capture Momo and obtain her abilities, especially in her now cursed and shrunk down state. To be absolutely sure he couldn't get his hands on her, they teleported the Typhoon Human from the Philippines right next to the plane where the Family was brawling against the Kitos, who wanted revenge for their intrusion in Byakuja Village and Naki had even hatched and fed an hatchling from the deceased Great Serpent to help carry out the mission. Due to the Typhoon Human's sudden appearance in Empty Space along with the sharks swimming in the ocean, a massive updraft was generated which lifted them thousands of meters into the sky and also froze them because of the temperature. These sharks crashed onto the plane's engine and broke the hull, which interrupted their fight and compelled Bamora to enlarge her exosuit and seal the hole. Everyone sat down in their seats and Seiko finally began perceiving Momo, believing that her medication had dulled her senses. Momo initially suggested that the god of Shimane was refusing them through the typhoon, however she soon noticed its body parts and is reminded of her conversation with Okarun. She confirmed that it was a real cryptid and correctly guesses that the Serpo might have hired it.

In the meantime the plane started circling around on its own, wondering if the plane in real life had been hit by a typhoon too. Seiko however refused to have an emergency landing since they won't be able to perform the ritual until the year later, which might be too late and Momo would disappear. She concluded that the only thing they could do is somehow beat the Typhoon Human and she stated that typhoons are caused by warm ocean water and its water vapor, so eliminating either one will extinguish it. Seiko stood up from her seat and ordered Momo to catch the flying frozen sharks and hold them still for Jiji to blast towards the Typhoon Human with his ki, planning to cool down its temperature and weaken the overall cycle until it collapses on itself. Jiji was weirded out by her request but Seiko reassured him that ki can be used to trespass obstacles and he will figure it out because he's a genius. As she makes her way to the cabin and pilot the plane, Jiji and Momo get to work.

Momo focuses and despite the sharks' very high velocity, she still catches one with her psychokinesis and gets it closer to the plane's window. Jiji thanks her and hones his ki, successfully catapulting it towards the Typhoon Human, although nothing seems to happen. They struggle to hide their disappointment but they still keep up with Seiko's request, intriguing the men of the Kito Family watching by. Jugenna asks Naki if they should assault them but the woman reasons that they are stuck in the same mess so they too will have to defeat the Typhoon Human, although they don't have to cooperate with the Family. She then shouts Jennifer Lopez Anaconda and breaches the floor deep enough to reach the cargo below where she crawls into. She pulls out a lotion and spills it on the crate containing the dried mongolian death worm, chanting for it to arise. The worm starts convulsing and bursts in size upwards, crashing through the plane and reaching the sky while the Kitos grip onto its back, with Naki piloting it by holding onto the tentacles encircling its mouth. Momo and Jiji are shocked to see it again considering that they had defeated it, leading Naki to explain how she found its nest, the cattle-only diet that prevented it from developing powers and its property to deflate if it's dried in a vacuum. Jiji reasons that they can't be wasting time however Momo notices that Naki is leading the worm to the sharks and feeding it. All of a sudden, the frozen sharks inside its body are regurgitated at tremendous speeds towards the Typhoon Human, essentially replicating Momo and Jiji's strategy but with a greater output.

The two are mesmerized but Momo wonders why it's not freezing, leading Naki to warn her not to underestimate the creatures raised underground. Momo and Jiji decide to resume helping however they can when a shark dives onto the plane without warning, generating such a turbulence that Momo is catapulted upwards and hit by a flying briefcase, directing her towards the hole where the Tsuchinoko Hatchling has exited. Jiji shouts in panic and he jumps on a seat before willingly exiting the plane, holding onto the broken hull as he tries to catch Momo. He screams when she unfortunately slips further away but before she can fall down, Unji pierces the fuselage with his umbrella and climbs on, rapidly sticking it back into the hull to hold himself as he points his other umbrella backwards and opens it. Unji, who's now blind due to the curse, asks if he has caught her before unraveling the spiritual umbrella back to him, collecting Momo in his palm. He then asks his brother Futa to guide his path with the umbrella just as a school of sharks crashes in the vicinity and one hits Unji, who knocks him away from the plane. Jiji shrieks in fear and runs forward on the fuselage of the plane, grabbing his hand and barely holding onto the cavity Unji had formed. Momo is saved but Naki questions for how long they have to keep shooting at the Typhoon Human, forming a telephone chain with her sons to reach Momo. She responds not to stop but the message becomes warped upon return, confusing her. Just then, Juichi notices that the Typhoon Human is filling its nose with sharks but Naki is too stubborn to listen. This proves a great mistake when the cryptid ejects the sharks at a jawbreaking speed against the Tsuchinoko Hatchling, breaking its body in half.

Everybody is astonished by what just ensued and the Typhoon Human keeps loading its nose with sharks to target the mongolian death worm, whose half where the Kitos are begins to drift uncontrollably in the air. Momo and Jiji realize that they can't win without it so she deploys her psychokinetic limbs to grab it, carrying Jiji and Unji on board while leaving the plane behind. The worm starts falling down so she inserts her power through the length of its body, allowing the wind to pass through its insides and keep it afloat, though Naki believes it's just one of the abilities of the Tsuchinoko hatchling. Momo then screams at Naki to drive the worm higher and she follows her requests although she still can't see her. Jiji is worried about the plan since they cannot shoot any more sharks at the Typhoon Human that way and proposes to go back to the plane. Momo refuses since retreating means they won't be able to defeat the cryptid and reach Shimane in time, and as they climb up the stratosphere, the colossal eye of the Typhoon Human finally becomes visible. She concludes that by smashing the eye they will be able to kill it, so she asks for Jiji to blast it away with his Evil Gun. The boy tells her that it's hard to stand up in such conditions and he's barely holding onto the worm, so Unji pushes his back against him to keep him upright and Momo deploys her psychokinesis to hold them both in place. Now in the perfect condition, she thanks them as he hones his ki and unleashes a powerful spiraling Evil Gun aimed at the eye of the Typhoon Human while Naki keeps the worm out of the attack's way.

At first it seems to have inflicted major damage, however stress settles in when they see it regenerating and charging up electricity over its retina. Momo screams at Naki to turn and they barely dodge in time just as a gigantic lightning breaks through the sky, reaching high up into the stratosphere and branching apart like a tree, all the while the sharks caught in it are immediately disintegrated. Jiji grows worried about what they can even do to beat it when Momo suddenly remembers her conversastion with Okarun, who stated that the typhoon itself is a living cryptid. She calls out to Naki and orders her to have the worm eat plenty of sharks, yet the matriarch still can't see her and argues that if she does, they'll put on weight and they won't be able to fly anymore. Momo reassures that it's part of the plan because they are going to dive towards the eye, shocking everyone as it just sounds like a suicidal manuever because of the electricity discharges. Momo screams that she hasn't lost hope and begs once again Naki to do as she says, willing to end on a good note with the Kitos despite everything that happened prior. Naki is infuriated by her words but still fills the hatchling with sharks, explaining that it's because of her will alone that she's doing this and her sons support her stupid claim. Nevertheless, as soon as they plummet down towards the eye, Momo compells her to regurgitate the sharks outward while the Typhoon Human unleashes another lighting. As they dive down through the electric storm, the frozen sharks act as insulators and stop electricity from dispersing further, thus protecting them.

Although they are able to survive the attack, they are in the direct path of collision with the massive eye of the Typhoon Human. Before they can crash, Momo redirects the worm by shapeshifting her psychokinesis to the side, gliding over the sclera of the eye and descending downwards. This confuses the Kitos and Jiji since the plan was to crash into it, however she reassures them that they are actually after the typhoon itself and demands Jiji to target the sea with his Evil Gun, explaining that by stirring up the warm water at the surface with the cold one down below the cycle feeding the typhoon will break and it will dissipate. Jiji wonders if she's a genius and spins his ki to deliver a monumental amount of energy towards the water with his Evil Gun. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to produce the expected effect due to a lack of power while the eye of the Typhoon Human turns around to shoot them. Momo desperately calls for the sharks to be thrown too but Naki alerts her that the worm is already empty. As the eye charges up its third lightning, Unji suddenly grabs Jiji from behind and extends his arm forward, putting it right at the base of the Evil Gun. He asks for his younger brother Futa to give it his all as he opens the umbrella and produces a giant spiral, augmenting the Evil Gun's power significantly and breaching through the sea, mixing the water and instantly extinguishing the Typhoon Human, ending the battle.

Aftermath[]

The Kitos and the mongolian death worm on the Moon.

With the cryptid taken down, the Family starts searching for the plane but they can't spot it high up in the sky so Momo instead asks Naki to fly them to Shimane. Naki refuses and plans to carry on their revenge by bringing them to their hideout so they can be turned into human sacrifices. Hearing this, the Evil Eye tries again to break free of Jiji's control while Naki keeps mocking them. Without warning, a flying megalodon arrives out of nowhere and opens its mouth to swallow them whole. Because Naki is distracted, the Tsuchinoko Hatchling and the subterraneans all end up in its stomach while the trio jumps off into the void. However, the Evil Eye successfully takes over Jiji and shrieks for the Kitos to come out as he delivers a devastating kick to the shark, launching it skyawrd with such power that it later ends up on the moon. Everyone survives other than the shark and they start traversing the Moon's surface, promising to get their revenge on Momo Ayase once more. In the meantime, Momo forms a parachute to slow their descent and they manage to get back onto the plane thanks to Daiki, who used to train on flight simulators with his dad when he was little, who followed Bamora's instructions given by her HUD.

After they land at the airport and make their way to the Izumo Taisha, the Serpo analyze what just ensued from their UFO. They determine that Momo Ayase is an exceptionally dangerous being and the best chance for them to take her out is through hand-to-hand combat. With that said, they depart to the cosmos, planning to gather an army and eliminate Momo before Count Saint-Germain can get his hands on her.
