WARNING! |
Momo Ayase, Okarun and Jet Booster Exosuit Kur vs. Serpo and Mr. Dris was a battle that took place in an Empty Space opened over Kamigoe City. Momo, Okarun and Count Saint-Germain's henchwoman fight back against the Serpo and their henchman, Mr. Dris as they attempt to capture the humans either dead or alive.
Prologue[]
Sanjome giving Momo a crime prevention whistle.
After her meeting with the History and Culture Research Club, Momo encounters the club advisor Sanjome, who encourages her to discuss her concerns to him after noticing her seemingly down. Due to her amnesia, Momo questions Sanjome's identity but doubts his claim of being a staff member. Before having Momo leave, Sanjome gives her a crime prevention whistle, suggesting she use it if she is ever in trouble.
During class, Momo questions Miko and Kei regarding Sanjome's identity, remaining skeptical that he has been at the school for as long as she has known her friends. Miko and Kei start to doubt her worries since she has minimal recollection, particularly as she has forgotten about Okarun. Momo discloses that she no longer feels the same bond with Okarun as she did prior to her memory loss and feels somewhat alienated due to the gaps in her understanding. In reply, Miko and Kei suggest that Momo should go on a date with him and later insist on taking her to meet Okarun, proposing that they all should take a trip to the museum to see a Mummy Man.

At the museum, Momo becomes fascinated by the mummies on display and listens intently as Okarun provides insights into mummification, including a wild theory about how aliens use mummies as vessels to survive on Earth. Soon after, Momo notices that Miko and Kei have left them alone, much to her annoyance.
When Momo informs Okarun that he doesn't need to accompany her home as they leave the museum, he insists on doing so, expressing his concern for her safety. After she finds his enthusiasm a bit unsettling, she inquires if he has feelings for her. Upon his affirmative response, she becomes flustered and reprimands him for his straightforwardness, only for Okarun to remind her that she was the one who asked first. Momo contends that asking a question does not necessitate an answer, while Okarun admits he can be honest with her and suggests that she might also have feelings for him. Momo denies any romantic feelings and cautions him against misinterpreting her intentions, yet Okarun remains convinced that she cares. As Momo becomes irritated with Okarun, the two are interrupted when Empty Space is activated. They then look in the distance to see a horde of Serpo running towards them with a katana wielding mummy on a bike.
Battle[]
As the Serpo approach, Okarun takes Momo's hand to flee, knowing that neither of them can use their powers to defend themselves. When three Serpo attempt to attack Momo with the Awesome Zone, Okarun intervenes to shield her. The Serpo notice that their assault has been repelled by Okarun, while Okarun notices the effects are different, figuring that his ki training must be the reason, and realizes that he has the Oni Club on him. Momo attempts to use the whistle given to her by Sanjome to summon help and alert the police, however, Okarun advises her to save her breath while they make their way to Jiji's house to devise a strategy.

The Serpo seek Mr. Dris' help in capturing the escaping pair and question whether his delay is due to the body he is inhabiting, suggesting he should find a different one. Mr. Dris manipulates one of his bandages to slip under his bicycle and causes the road to disappear. Observing the ground shifting before it vanishes, Okarun warns Momo and catches her as she tumbles into the void. After Okarun rescues her, they witness several Serpo falling while others remain secure on white surfaces, realizing that anything white serves as a platform under this power's effects. The Serpo reprimand Mr. Dris for involving them in the technique and inform him that Momo and Okarun can be captured dead or alive.

When Momo inquiries about their enemies, Okarun cautions her that they are aliens, though she is skeptical, pointing to the mummy on the bicycle. Using his katana, Mr. Dris rides his bike forward at Momo and Okarun to execute a swift slash. Using the Oni Club, Okarun manages to slightly block the attack, receiving only a slight cut to his left arm. After checking on Momo to ensure her safety, Okarun comes to realize that he can wield the Oni Club by applying his ki training, resulting in the stick transforming into a batting weapon made of energy. However, the Oni Club quickly begins to lose its form, as Okarun admits that he is still inexperienced at summoning spiritual power and explains to Momo that the weapon was entrusted to him by her grandmother. Concerned about Mr. Dris returning, Momo urges him to reconstruct the Oni Club before another attack, but Okarun insists that her anxiety is disrupting his focus. Suddenly, Momo is struck by a Serpo's Six Sense Organ, which the alien attempts to knock both her and Okarun from the white street-marked platform into the abyss. Okarun advises her to leap toward the wall near them, but she hesitates, fearful of falling. She then warns him of Mr. Dris' impending strike, allowing Okarun to reform the Oni Club just in time to block the mummy's sword.

With little room to maneuver, the duo finds themselves increasingly cornered as three Serpo activate an Awesome Zone. At that instant, Count Saint-Germain's female associate arrives with her suit, inquiring why Momo has the whistle. Okarun recognizes the newcomer as an alien, while Momo questions if she is on their side, only for the alien to refute this. The Serpo identify her as a Kur and ask if she has formed an alliance with Momo. The exosuit-wearing alien conveys her annoyance at this unexpected situation, as she was only summoned due to her agreement with Count Saint-Germain to help whoever blows the whistle in return for a new suit. Regardless of her animosity for her former enemies, the exosuit alien reluctantly adheres to the task she was given and attacks the Serpo, though denies Momo and Okarun's assumption of her being their ally.
As Mr. Dris gets ready for another attack, Momo jumps to the next white platform while Okarun defends himself against the mummy's blade using the Oni Club. Momo encourages him to follow her, but Okarun insists that she should hurry to Jiji while he remains behind to face their enemy. Utilizing his ki training, Okarun holds his ground against Mr. Dris up close and manages to cut off his right arm. However, the mummy reattaches the arm with his cloth and controls it to have his sword stab Okarun.

Stunned by the sight of Okarun being stabbed by Mr. Dris, Momo hurls a traffic cone at the mummy and leaps toward Okarun, helping him evade the next strike. Okarun urges her to leave him behind, but when she refuses, he instructs her to crouch low and hold onto him to keep her balance. Knowing that Momo has practiced ki since childhood, Okarun asks her to perform her ritual again, convinced she may be more skilled at wielding the Oni Club than he is. After blocking Mr. Dris' next sword attack, Okarun hands the weapon to Momo. Though she struggles to activate its batting form, Okarun is astonished when the club enlarges upon returning to his grasp, allowing him to slice Mr. Dris in half as he charges. When the weapon shrinks again, Okarun tells Momo to repeat her ki spell. As the Oni Club expands once more, he realizes her ki is flowing into him and into the weapon through their connection. While this gives them a fighting chance, Okarun worries about how they can overcome the mummy's regeneration.

The area then plunges into pitch-black darkness, leaving Okarun struggling to track Mr. Dris. The eerie creak of Mr. Dris' bicycle cuts through the silence, and Okarun reacts at the last possible moment, raising the Oni Club to block a sudden strike. Momo urges him to extinguish the weapon's glowing release form, warning that its light is acting as a beacon. Okarun manages to parry the next attack with the Oni Club, and in that instant realizes that Mr. Dris is navigating through echolocation, using the sound of his bicycle to measure distance due to his mask blinding him. Armed with this revelation, Momo devises a daring plan to exploit the mummy's very nature. When Mr. Dris lunges again to attack, he falls for her trick: a decoy crafted to draw his blade, giving her the opening to seize one of his bandages. While Okarun holds her as she clings to the unraveling cloth, the two pull the bandage to strip away his wrappings. With his bindings torn loose, Mr. Dris' mummified flesh is laid bare and begins to rot and crumble, just as Momo intended.

As a result of the mummy body being destroyed, Mr. Dris' true alien form emerges and his power over his surroundings is cancelled. Okarun and Momo notice the road has reappeared and panic as the alien's massive, whale-like body descends toward them. Acting quickly, they use the Oni Club in an attempt to prevent themselves from being crushed under the alien's immense weight. With Mr. Dris' alien form now fully exposed, two Serpo clones retreat, declaring their mission a failure. Unable to withstand Earth's gravity, Mr. Dris detonates, causing Empty Space to deactivate.
Aftermath[]
The amnesiac Momo telling Okarun that she now believes in aliens.
Momo and Okarun find themselves back in the normal world, unaware that Momo had instinctively activated her psychic powers to protect them from the blast. Though Momo credits Okarun with defeating Mr. Dris, he insists it was her quick thinking and bravery—echoes of her former self—that truly saved them, which he admits brings him relief. As they prepare to leave, Okarun offers to carry Momo when she struggles to stand. While leaving, she tells Okarun that she now believes in aliens after today's events.
