After popping Koki's and Rin's heads off thanks to the Severed Head Dribblers following his will in the gym of Kami High, he quickly returned to his apartment and met up with Adachi, who he decided to hire previously that day to satisfy his erotic fantasies.

With various cameras installed inside the gym, he monitors the situation while pedaling on his cyclette through a tablet and watches as Aira, along with Mai, rescue the two girls. He acknowledges the fact that they are putting up a good fight, but he was confident that he would have won because they were searching for him in the gym, which would have wasted their time and led to their demise. He then hops off the cyclette and grabs a beer, believing that one can enjoy a strong drink only after a tense workout. He asks if Adachi, who was wearing a skimpy outfit for him agreed but he sees her being distant. He menacingly walks over and places his hand next to her, informing her that he knows about her struggling economic situation and the conditions of her mother. After stating that she would need lots of money to take care of her and eventually put her in a nursing home, he returnes to train. Unbeknownst to him, Adachi is keeping a talisman behind her back to summon her jiangshi, as her true objective is to steal Murakami's powers.

Later, Murakami picks her up and throws her on his sofa, assuring her that he has enough money and stocks to provide for her. She then secretly activates the talisman, summoning the Jiangshi, although she's willing to buy them as much time as possible since they don't know what ability he possesses. Suddenly, one of the flies who are being remotely controlled by Koki through the Lord of the Flies buzz nearby, causing him to turn around in rage as he had thrown out the garbage the previous day. The jiangshi and the storm of flies stand menacingly in front of him before the bugs swarm him, attempting to enter every orifice of his and causing extreme discomfort and pain. Murakami is confused and screams in pain, but Adachi sees this unexpected opportunity to force him to accept his defeat, assuring him that she would have spared his life if he did it quickly. Murakami is furious and theorizes that she too had been stealing yokai powers, but the woman is adamant about him yielding to her. With no other choice, he lunges forward and grabs her hand, admitting defeat before cutting himself with the black kozuka knife. This transfers the Severed Head Dribblers to her knife, causing them to disappear from the gym.
Murakami collapses and begs for help, so Adachi and her Jiangshi rush over to free him from the insects. Unexpectedly, the swarm lifts him and crashes through the apartment's window, leaving the balcony and heading to Kami High's gym. With her mission complete, Adachi flees the crime scene and contacts the orchestrator.

- Because the Azabudai Hills Mori JP Tower and the Mamiana Park are visible from his apartment, he's most likely residing in the Roppongi Grand Tower Residence.
