She's the mother of Rin Sawaki and was the wife of Tadamichi until he died.
Appearance[]
She keeps her dark hair in two buns on either side of her head and it's generally messy due to her being always busy. Another distinctive characteristic are her eyes which are smaller and simpler than most characters.
Personality[]
She tries her best to keep her family together after her husband deat, even working on sunday mornings, and she's very grateful for her daugher Rin helping out at home and looking after her grandmother. Although this gratitude towards Rin interferes with her daughter's activities and isolate her even more from her friends as Rin doesn't want to disappoint her.
Background[]
Due to the unexpected death of her husband, she was forced to work even more in order to pay the bills and take care of her mother in law who already shows signs of dementia. Because she was always busy, she asked Rin to do most of the house chores after returning from school, such as cleaning and feeding her grandmother. One day she returned home and thanked Rin for helping out, and once she greeted her mother in law, the lady asked her if her son Tadamichi was going to return. The mother said that he wouldn't come back anymore and later proceeded to give her a bath.
She's asked by Rin, after playing out with Mai and deciding to compete at the audition for idols, if she could accompany her on sunday, but before she can even finish her sentence, her mother is reminded that she was going to work that sunday morning too and asks if she could take care of her grandmother. Rin can't even answer as her mother turns around and deeply thanks her for always helping out and doing the cooking as she's busy most of the time to work, hugging her. Rin, not wanting to complicate her mother's worklife, quietly backs down.
One late night, Rin saw her mother passed out on the table filled with receipts and work tasks and covered her with a blanket.
