Seiko Ayase vs. Turbo Granny is a battle that took place in front of the Ayase Residence. Seiko Ayase, Momo's grandmother and famous spirit medium, defends her unconscious granddaughter with charm nails and mystical barriers from Turbo Granny, who has remotely taken over Okarun in the girl's absence.
Prologue[]
Following their victory over the Flatwoods Monster in Empty Space, Momo and Okarun celebrate until the former collapses due to the injuries and stress she put her body under. Okarun panics as the curse is now left unchecked and begins morphing into the Turbo Granny.

Battle[]
Seiko launching the nail into the barrier towards Turbo Granny to launch her back.
Noticing the threat grabbing Momo to eat her, Seiko throws a brick with a nail stuck into it at the center of a drawn circle. Upon landing, the brick explodes and Turbo Granny bursts into flames, rolling down into the small canal behind her. As she approaches her with her bat, she's surprised that her granddaughter has brought another trashy boy home again and challenges the yokai to a duel. In a mere instant, Turbo Granny flashes behind her and tries to chomp her head off, but she's repelled by the barrier Seiko is in, igniting once again and fell backwards. Seiko was shocked at her speed, but she had expected it and she had placed a trap behind her, causing Turbo Granny to get stuck inside the barrier.

The yokai crosses its boundary with her arm and it immediately combusts, so Seiko explains that the mystical barriers she has drawn on the ground have two different functions depending on the position of the charm nail. If it's inside the circle, like the one she's standing in, then no spirit can enter it, but if it's outside the circle, then once the the yokai falls inside it cannot escape as the barrier is applied backwards. She gets closer to Turbo Granny who claims that she'll escape and swallow her whole, but Seiko begins repeatedly striking her with her bat, mocking her as the yokai tries to remain inside the circle. Turbo Granny calls her a dirty old hag, but Seiko finds it funny since the yokai is one too. She pulls out another charm nail to finish the job and the yokai screams that the boy she's controlling will die too. Seiko doesn't care about her lie because she's okay with murdering anybody who tries to seduce Momo, saying this as she drops the nail into the circle. Turbo Granny screams at her before being suppressed by the barrier, freeing Okarun.
Aftermath[]
Noticing that Okarun has survived, Seiko decides to save him by placing him inside the shrine next to her home, as the god venerated inside it is able to suppress any curse like Momo. Seiko also carries Momo to her bedroom, who wakes up in the evening and rushes to her grandma, demanding to know where Okarun is. She admits that she has killed the yokai but refuses to elaborate since to her granddaughter's eyes, she's just a phony spirit medium. Now that Momo has encountered Turbo Granny, she bows down and apologizes to her, asking once again about Okarun. Seiko tells him that he's in the shrine and she rushes there, hoping that nothing bad happened to him, but thankfully he's unharmed. Seiko later walks outside and is informed by Momo that Turbo Granny has stolen his testicles and she has unlocked psychic powers. She also tells her about the Serpo, but Seiko denies the existence of aliens.
Anime and Manga Differences[]
In the anime, Seiko draws another circle around the one Turbo Granny is trapped in. Before Seiko finishes her off, Turbo Granny manages to grab her bat and hold it still, warning her that the boy will die. After dropping her nail on the outer circle, she merges it with the inner one by removing its line with her feet, turning the outside barrier into an inner one and making Turbo Granny combust.
