The Seven School Mysteries (学校の七不思議 Gakkō-no-Nanafushigi?) refer to a set of seven unsettling, supernatural or paranormal events present in every single school in Japan. These legends usually take place at night.

Anatomical Models[]

Anatomical models (解剖モデル Kaibō moderu?) animate during the night and run through the school, terrorizing any students daring to explore. The anatomical model Taro, along with fellow anatomical model and lover Hana, that resides in the science classroom of Kami High is connected to this urban legend. A property of these anatomical models is that if they get broken, they can reassemble themselves with their missing parts.
Students report hearing footsteps or seeing the models in different positions than where they were left. Some legends say they are searching for their missing hearts or other body parts.
Music Room Portraits[]

The Music Room Portraits (音楽室の肖像画 Ongakushitsu no Shōzōga?) are Tulpas (思念体 Shinentai?, literal meaning: Thoughtforms) that take real form through the collective fear of the students afraid of the eerie musician portraits. At an unknown time late at night, or at two in the morning, the Music Room Portraits will be summoned whenever someone plays horribly on the music room's piano and will try to kill them on the spot. Even if they are defeated, they can manifest themselves again if the piano is played again.
Another version of the legend focuses on Beethoven's portrait, which if stared for long enough, the person will start to hear his symphonies, growing louder and louder and driving them insane.
Shining School Building[]

The Shining School Building (コウシャイン Koushain?) is an amalgamation of school spirits taking over the building and bringing it to life, even possessing a face. Its blocky-shaped body lacks legs and in this occasion, it was carried by one of the tiny statues of Ninomiya Kinjiro.
Ninomiya Kinjiro Statues[]

The Ninomiya Death Road Kinjiros (ニ宮デスロード金次郎 Ninomiya Desurōdo Kinjirō?) are statues of Japanese agriculturalist Ninomiya Kinjiro that materialize upon the awakening of the Shining School Building. One of these statues has the task to carry the Shining School Building on its back while the others focus on the enemy that summoned them. The firewood they carry has also explosive properties, making it extremely dangerous.
Ninomiya Sontoku, also known as Kinjiro, is a known figure of the past in the academic world because of his perseverance in his studies which brought him to become a shogunate retainer and led him to build 600 villages. His diligence in school work gave his statues a magical influence and students often visit him to pray in order to assure higher grades for their tests. This popularity created rumors such as the statue randomly appearing overnight and sightings of a ghostly figure resembling the man.
Severed Head Dribblers[]

Severed Head Dribblers (生首ドリブル Namakubi Doriburu?) are entities who are summoned in a gym whenever there are trespassers late at night intending to play. They are humanoid creatures but their heads popped off and fly above them. Upon spotting an intruder, they'll launch their heads at them at devastating speeds and then charge at them to use them as a basketball. If the head of the person gets dunked by them through a hoop, it will detach from their body and fly above with the rest of the heads. This puts the intruder in a state between life and death, but the life energy of the removed head will slowly spill out and they'll eventually die if they do not reconnect, which is done by sending it through the hoop from the opposite side.
Furthermore, these humanoids eventually started growing in size and the gym around them began to morph, meaning they also have the power to shift the environment around them.
