This is the article on the member of the Kur. For the exosuit, head to Suda Ko.

Suda Ko (スダ・コ) was a Kur and a member of his race's Advance Unit.

In Dandadan, he serves as a major antagonist during the Space Globalists Arc.

Appearance[]

The Kur had never been seen outside of his exosuit. Nonetheless, being a Kur, he was presumed to share the octopus-like physiology characteristic of his species.

Personality[]

Like all Kur, Suda Ko showed little regard for the lives of other beings in the cosmos, viewing them merely as potential subjects to become converted into exosuits. This included having a keen interest in utilizing exosuits with extraordinary abilities, as he immediately asserted his claim over Jiji to Ta Komeshi after his ally was convinced that the human would make for a great exosuit based on the level of power he displayed.[1] He was shown to possess camaraderie towards his brethren. Noticing Takonoka Ru Patcho struggling to defeat Aira, he was prepared to offer his assistance by shooting her down and wanted to avoid hitting his ally as well, requesting that he create some distance from his shot.[2] He could be caught off guard by unexpected events, being shocked to find Jiji still moving despite taking damage from his and Ta Komeshi's blasts and showed terror when faced with the Evil Eye's grudge ki, unleashed after Jiji combined it with his Evil Gun to defeat both Kur.

Background[]

Suda Ko took part in his race's invasion of Sumer.

Synopsis[]

Kintama Hunt Saga[]

Space Globalists Arc[]

Following Bamora's escape to Earth, the Kur Advance Unit transported themselves to the same planet to track her down. There, they raided the Serpo at their base, acquiring their devices, data, and information about the Family's special powers that could accelerate their plan to summon their main fleet for another invasion. During this, the team received a signal from Bamora's exosuit accidently set off by Jiji, revealing their location.[3]

Space Globalists defeat Aira and Evil Eye

Suda Ko, Takonoka Ru Patcho, and Ta Komeshi defeat Aira and the Evil Eye.

Later, the Advance Unit faces off against the Family, with Suda Ko, Takonoka Ru Patcho, and Ta Komeshi confronting Aira and Jiji on their way home from school.[4] During the clash, Suda Ko fires his rifle at Aira, blasting her through buildings, and follows up with a second shot that narrowly misses. Jiji intervenes by knocking Suda Ko back with a ki blast, momentarily halting his attack.[5] After Jiji's, who had been possessed by the Evil Eye, defeat by Ta Komeshi, Suda Ko strikes Aira, creating an opening for Takonoka Ru Patcho to electrocute her with his electric shield and bombard her with his missiles, ultimately resulting in her defeat as well. While near their unconscious bodies, the Kur witness Aira using her Acrobatic Silky hair to provide cover for her and the Evil Eye. Suda Ko fires his rifle to disrupt this and discovers that the two have suddenly escaped. This prompts the team to open fire on the Empty Space Kamigoe City to prevent them from going far. However, with their time to stay in the area run out, the three make their leave without their targets.[6]

Momo going on ahead

The Kur clashing against the Family during the invasion.

After obtaining Okarun's kintama to energize their warp gate and summon their main force, Suda Ko, Ta Komeshi, Takonoka Ru Patcho, Ta Kowasa, and the mantis exosuit Kur stand guard against any intruders in their Empty Space. When the Family arrives, Suda Ko and Takonoka Ru Patcho attack their vehicle to halt their advance.[7] However, Momo, Aira, Jiji, Mr. Mantis Shrimp, and Rokuro escape the wreckage unharmed and engage the Kur in combat. Suda Ko receives an opening from Ta Kowasa to shoot Mr. Mantis Shrimp, but misses when Aira pulls the two aliens out of the line of fire. Spotting Momo fleeing with Rokuro, Suda Ko tries to fire at them but is stopped by Jiji, who hits him with a ki blast. Suda Ko then shifts his focus to Jiji, as he, Aira, and Mr. Mantis Shrimp hold off the Kur to allow Momo and Rokuro to head toward the warp gate.[8] When Ta Kowasa restrains Aira, Suda Ko attempts to shoot her but is thwarted again by Jiji's ki blast. The battle quickly shifts in favor of the Kur, as Aira gets caught in Ta Komeshi's shockwave field, Mr. Mantis Shrimp is overpowered by the mantis exosuit Kur's laser blades, and Suda Ko, Takonoka Ru Patcho, and Ta Kowasa focus their attacks on Jiji while he is left vulnerable.[9] After Jiji fires his new Evil Gun, Suda Ko takes a shot at him but narrowly misses. Following their witness of Ta Kowasa's defeat by the human, Suda Ko, Ta Komeshi, and Takonoka Ru Patcho launch a combined attack against Jiji's Evil Gun, ultimately overpowering his blast.[10]

Jiji defeats Ta Komeshi and Suda Ko

Suda Ko and Ta Komeshi defeated by Jiji.

Seeing Takonoka Ru Patcho struggling against Aira after she resumes fighting him, Suda Ko gets ready to assist his ally, urging him to move further away so he can get a clear shot at Aira. However, both Suda Ko and Ta Komeshi's focus shifts back to Jiji when they realize he can move and fire another Evil Gun. As their blasts clash with Jiji's once more, the two take note of their enemy's immense energy output and consider him a potential exosuit, prompting Suda Ko to stake his claim if it comes to that. Following Jiji harnessing the Evil Eye's ki, the Kur duo becomes caught off guard by the grudge manifestation heading their way and are defeated after the ki blast strikes through them.[11]
