WARNING! |
The Suda Ko (スダ・コ?) are one of the few known exosuit models. One was most notably wielded by a Kur of the Advance Unit until it was destroyed by Jiji.
Appearance[]
A small size exosuit, about 1.2 meters in length, with a cylindrical body and small floating wings. Its eyes and mouth are holloed and has stick shaped arms that are able to hold onto its large rifle.
Capabilities[]
History[]
During the invasion of Sumer, multiple Kur organisms wearing the Suda Ko are spotted, however it's unclear which one is part of the Advance Unit on Earth. They are seen guarding Big Mama inside a forest while she crafts exosuits thanks to the soldiers they captured. Later they are seen defending the perimeter of the Pyramid Warp Gate and fight during the gigantic revolt of the Sumerian men incited by Banga inside the God of Sumer exosuit.
Kintama Hunt Saga[]
Space Globalists Arc[]
While Jiji and Aira walk together back home, they are suddenly transported in Empty Space and are approached by Suda Ko together with Takonoka Ru Patcho and Ta Komeshi. He manages to blast Aira away with his railgun after she got hit by Takonoka Ru Patcho's electric disks, sending her crashing into multiple houses. Seeing her being targeted by two of the aliens, Jiji tries to eliminate Suda Ko by controlling and spreading his ki towards him. The attack is really week due to Jiji's elementary training, but it's strong enough to makes him lose his balance. Later on, Evil Eye gets defeated by Ta Komeshi while Takonoka Ru Patcho and Suda Ko coordinate their attacks to also bring Aira down. Upon inspecting their bodies, she forms an hair sphere to escape, which he immediately breaks open with a railgun shot. Upon discovering their escape, he reminds the others that they can pinpoint their position through the life-sign detection in the exosuits' HUD. Strange white orbs clutter their scanners so they decide to spray down the neighborhood, hoping to hit the two with collateral damage. They run out of time and eventually give up, yet they remain curious about the Earth's mysterious orbs.
He's shown fighting as an hologram in the basement of the Nagi Hospital, who along with his two teammates are able to defeat Momo, Jiji and Mr. Mantis Shrimp. Aira berates their horrible performance and points out that despite knowing the battle style of these three, they still couldn't beat them.
At the start of the Kur Invasion, he's given a clear shot on Mr. Mantis Shrimp thanks to Ta Kowasa restraining him with his mechanical arms, however Aira intervenes with her powers just in time. He targets Momo and Rokuro but Jiji manages to deflect the projectile with his now refined ki control. She gets immobilized by Ta Kowasa and the Suda Ko immediately takes aim and shoots, though again the beam is deviated by Jiji. Aira requests him to target Takonoka Ru Patcho and Suda Ko, and after struggling coming up with a name for his special move, he finally emits the Evil Gun, freeing Aira from Ta Komeshi's grasp. Suda Ko shifts his focus on him and gives a chance for Ta Kowasa to ambush and absorb his powers. The overwhelming power blows his exosuit, so the other three open fire simultaneously on Jiji, which he blocks with another Evil Gun projectile.
Jiji gets injured by a barrage of electromagnetic shots while trying to defend Aira from Takonoka Ru Patcho, despite this he manages to get up and surprise the other two aliens with a third Evil Gun shot. Him and Ta Komeshi counter the attack with beams of their own. They are amazed by the boy's strength and begin laying claim on the powerful exosuit he will be converted into. Okarun finally enters Empty Space and contacts his two friends to tell them about the power of the spiral. Jiji recalls a conversation he had with Seiko about a spinning top which remains standing thanks to the spiral power, which he should replicate by merging his chi with Evil Eye's and spinning it. The Evil Gun gets honed, causing the two aliens to tremble in fear before they get overwhelmed by its immense destructive power.
Thanks to the Warp Gate powered by Okarun's Kintama, some UFOs reach Earth and more Kur wearing the Suda Ko assist Hastur and the Jet Booster Exosuit Kur in the fight against Momo. One of them lands a hit on Evil Eye, who gets visibly annoyed and throws an exosuit's part at him, blowing him up.
Trivia[]
- The Suda Ko's appearance is based on the Haniwa Terracotta Dancers, following most of the exosuits' figurine theme.
- The Suda Ko also follows the exosuit theme of being named after an octopus dish, with "Suda Ko" being named after "vinegared octopus" (酢蛸 sudako?).
- The Suda Ko's exosuit motto is "One good deed a day" (一日一善 Ichinichiichizen?).[2]
