WARNING! |
Sumerians (シュメール人 Shumēru-jin?) are an alien race hailing from Sumer.
Overview[]
It is heavily implied that the Sumerians are the ancestors to the human race of Earth, as the planet, which they know as Idea (イデア?), served as their second homeland they migrated to long ago.
Biology[]
Sumerians appear nearly identical to Earthlings, with the only distinction being a pair of antennas attached to their heads.

Overall Strength[]
Sumerians possess advanced weaponry when faced against enemies. Known weapons are guns that fire off laser beams. They also wear protective combat gear when out on the battlefield. Furthermore, they have the technological prowess to create a warp gate that can transport them to another planet, specifically Earth.
Beliefs[]
Sumerians worship a god that they believe will save their race if they are on the brink of extinction. It is tradition for them to pray to the god at the end of each day. During the invasion of Sumer, an exosuit greatly resembling the god of Sumer was created from the essence of a few female Sumerians, which Banga viewed as the "embodiment of Sumerian hate" after deducing that the victims were clinging onto hope that their god would save them. Ironically, despite not being a believer in the myth, Banga would later enact it after using the suit to liberate the enslaved male Sumerians to fight back against the Kur.
The Sumerian's history of migrating to Earth was also believed to be a myth.
History[]
Past[]
Long ago, the Sumerians constructed a warp gate pyramid to migrate from their home planet Sumer to another known as Idea where they adopted it as their second homeland. This piece of history, however, was believed to be a myth, with the warp gate no longer being put to use as it was kept guarded by the royal family for thousands of years. Eventually, their second home planet became home to their descendants, the human race, which they refer to as Earth.
Invasion of Sumer[]
At some point, Planet Sumer was invaded by the Kur. Though the Sumerians tried to defend themselves against the invaders, they were ultimately overpowered by the enemies' troops and were left few in number. While the male Sumerians were either killed off during the invasion or enslaved to become exosuits for the Kur's Big Mama, the surviving female Sumerians banded together as a resistance. The sole known surviving child of the Sumerians was a little girl named Bamora who was looked after by one of the women in the resistance named Banga.

As the war continued over the years, Bamora, Banga and two of their colleagues eventually became the only survivors of the resistance after the group had fallen into a trap. Deciding that their only means of survival is to escape Sumer by activating and passing through the ancient warp gate pyramid connected to the planet Idea, the four female Sumerians fought their way through the Kur's forces to make it to the pyramid. At the site, enslaved male Sumerians were gathered to be fed to the Big Mama until Bamora made an attempt to free them, causing a riot to ensure. Using a exosuit resembling the god of Sumer, Banga persuaded the male Sumerians into fighting back against their enemies and managed to make it to the pyramid with Bamora. With the warp gate only having enough power left to transport only one person to Idea, Banga forced Bamora to pass through with her exosuit while she chose to stay behind.
At the same time the Kur's plan to conquer Earth was met with failure, Banga, Tome, Aja, and at least two male Sumerians, acquired a spacecraft to fight off the Kur as they head to Earth to reunite with Bamora.
Trivia[]
- The name Sumerian is a name of the inhabitants of the earliest known civilization known as Sumer, located at the tip of the Persian Gulf. Sumer is considered one of the cradles of civilization, along with Egypt, the Indus Valley, the Erligang culture of the Yellow River valley, Caral-Supe, and Mesoamerica.
- The Sumerians are a fictional portrayal of the "ancient astronaut" pseudo-science hypothesis. This theory claims that an alien species had visited planet Earth thousands, if not millions, of years ago and either birthed the human race, or at least brought them culture, science and had been responsible for creating several ancient architectural monuments, such as the various pyramid structures across the world. The Sumerians from Dandadan may likely have been based off of the purported Anunnaki, a hypothetical extraterrestrial species of advanced aliens, believed to have been worshipped in the Mesopotamian cultures (Sumer, Akkad, Babylon, and others) as gods.
- Ugaritic is the native language of Sumerians.
