The Ta Komeshi (タ・コメシ?) was an exosuit that was wielded by a Kur until it was destroyed by Jiji.

Appearance[]

The Ta Komeshi is a large size exosuit, about 3 meters in length. Its body is round with an intricate pattern and has a circle located at the navel that opens to reveal its anti-gravity beam cannon. Its head resembles somewhat like a helmet and has two odd extensions for arm-like jet propulsion and stubby feet.

The Ta Komeshi is capable of hovering over the ground and staying up in the air after using its jet attachments.

Heads-Up Display

Like most exosuits, the Ta Komeshi features a heads-up display for analyzing the environment and scanning enemies.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The heads-up display allows the wielder to detect any signs of life, which helps track down any enemies who have retreated and are hidden from plain sight. However, multiple signs of life within the wielder's vicinity can proof to interfere with them pinpointing their exact target.

Jet Attachments
Ta Komeshi's jet propulsion
While not a flying-type exosuit that allows for great mobility, the Ta Komeshi possesses jet attachments on its sides that allows it to soar straight up to the sky.
Strengths and Weaknesses

The advantage of the jet attachments is that they can allow the wearer to reach opponents who are airborne and stay out of reach from opponents who can only fight on the ground. Therefore, an attack that can reach a good distance is needed to bring the exosuit down.

Mechanical Arms
Ta Komeshi's arms
The Ta Komeshi has six built-in arms with cylindrical blunt weapons that serve as the exosuit's offensive capabilities in close combat.
Strengths and Weaknesses

The major strength of the six arms is that they are able to overwhelm the Ta Komeshi wearer's opponent with a barrage of hits from all directions, making it impossible for them to avoid or defend against unless they possess incredible durability. The Ta Komeshi can also manifest the arms without having the cylindrical blunt weapons present, which is shown useful in restraining enemies.

Shockwave Field
Ta Komeshi's shockwave field
The Ta Komeshi is able to surround itself with a 1 square meter shockwave field to deal damage to anything within its radius.
Strengths and Weaknesses

The shockwave generated from the field causes any living targets caught to suffer a great deal of pain and discomfort internally from the vibrations reverberating throughout their body, resulting in them coughing up blood and being brought to their knees as they become immobile. The field also acts as a barrier that destroys any inorganic matter or substance that is in its path, including the ground that becomes cratered, though this doesn't seem to be the case with clothing worn by living victims.

While the shockwave is strong, the field can be overcome if the opponent possesses an incredible amount of resilience. Also, while the field easily destroys all inorganic matter that comes in contact with it, it is unable to block ki generated attacks. Though the attack lacked power, Jiji was able to put a slight dent to the field's shape with his Ha Wave. Later, he was able to bypass the field completely with his Evil Gun, a more powerful version of the Ha Wave.

Anti-Gravity Beam
Ta Komeshi's anti-gravity beam
The Ta Komeshi has the ability to fire an anti-gravity beam from its cannon navel.
Strengths and Weaknesses

The anti-gravity beam is extremely powerful, capable of destroying anything in its path in an instant, and has proven to be very difficult for an opponent to recover from. At point-blank range, the beam was strong enough to put the Evil Eye out of commission, an impressive feat as the yokai's possession over Jiji's body granted him with tremendous durability and endurance that allowed him to withstand the wall destroying punches from Mr. Mantis Shrimp and the powerful All-Out headbutts from Okarun. Since the exosuit's shockwave field proved to be ineffective in harming the Evil Eye, it can also be said that the anti-gravity beam is a much stronger feature in dealing damage to the wearer's enemies. The anti-gravity beam is capable of matching other powerful blasts of energy as well and even overwhelm them if combined with another, as shown as it and Suda Ko (Exosuit)'s electromagnetic projectile easily overpowered Jiji's Evil Gun.

So far, the only known way to overcome the Ta Komeshi's anti-gravity beam is if it is overpowered by an even greater energy beam.

History[]

Past[]

The Kur of the Advance Unit was already in possession of the Ta Komeshi at the time of the invasion of Sumer.

Kintama Hunt Saga[]

Space Globalists Arc[]

Upon the arrival of the Kur's Advance Unit on Earth to track down the Sumerian girl Bamora, Ta Komeshi used his exosuit to aid his comrades in raiding the Serpo base to secure the alien race's technology and data.

Later, Ta Komeshi , along with Takonoka Ru Patcho and Suda Ko, used his exosuit to ambush Aira and Jiji. Using the exosuit's shockwave field, the Kur was able to inflict harm to Jiji until he swapped places with the Evil Eye, who had a resistance to it. The Kur then proceeded to use the exosuit's mechanical arms to attack the Evil Eye with a barrage of punches and unleashed his exosuit's anti-gravity beam to finish the yokai off. After a badly injured Aira resorted to using her Acrobatic Silky powers to retreat undetected with the Evil Eye, the Kur used their exosuits to level the area until the two were found. However, with their time run out, the team ultimately chose to depart.

During the Kur's attempted invasion of Earth, Ta Komeshi wielded his exosuit to prevent the Family from reaching the warp gate intended to summon the Kur's fleet. Facing Aira, Ta Komeshi used his exosuit's jets and mechanical arms to reach and restrain her as she was about to attack Ta Kowasa. The Kur then followed up with the Ta Komeshi's shockwave field to harm her while they were in the air. Jiji targeted Ta Komeshi to free Aira, damaging the exosuit with his new technique, the Evil Gun. In response, Ta Komeshi and Suda Ko combined their exosuit's powers, using the Ta Komeshi's anti-gravity beam and the Suda Ko (Exosuit)'s electromagnetic projectile rifle, to clash against Jiji's Evil Gun. With the combined beams being too much for him to handle, Jiji lost in the clash and was defeated. However, he soon rose to his feet and fired another Evil Gun, this time combined with the Evil Eye's power. In the second clash, the two Kurs were overwhelmed and hit by the blast, resulting in their defeat and the destruction of the Ta Komeshi and Suda Ko exosuits.

Trivia[]

  • The Ta Komeshi's appearance is based on the Masked Goddess, following most of the exosuits' figurine theme.
  • The Ta Komeshi also follows the exosuit theme of being named after an octopus dish, with "Ta Komeshi" being named after "octopus rice" (タコ飯 takomeshi?).
  • The Ta Komeshi's exosuit motto is "Respectful and honest" (謹厳実直 Kingenjitchoku?).[2]
