Cursed House Arc[]

After finding out Hana's location, Taro rushes out of the school to reunite with her but ends up attracting the attention of Momo, Okarun, and Jiji, with the girl using her powers to try and stop him in order to retrieve the Christmas ornament hanging from his crotch, believing it to be Okarun's missing kintama. Refusing to stop for them, Taro tries to shake them off his tail and manages to do so after dissembling himself from Momo's psychic grip. However, Taro ends up losing his heart to Momo, resulting in him crying out in pain as the latter begins striking it as way to track him down. After being found by Momo, Okarun, and Jiji, Taro hears Hana's voice underneath the garbage and runs up to dig her out, only for Hana to ask that he leave her since she has already accepted her fate. Taro refuses to comply as he genuinely states his love to her, which moves her.

After Momo offers her help by taking in Hana as a boarder at her house, Taro agrees to return to the school in exchange for meeting Hana during nights. Later at night, as he rushes over to the Ayase residence to meet Hana, Taro ends up running into a few school kids who become frightened by his sudden appearance and gets hit by a truck along the way, causing him to be late in his meeting with Hana.

Along with the Dover Demon and Chiquitita, Taro assists Seiko in fighting the Evil Eye, who has possessed Jiji, by sealing the yokai inside of him with talismans. Shortly after, Taro is thanked by Seiko for his assistance but the anatomical model wonders what he should do with his organs that he had to remove in order to make himself hollow, to which Seiko tells him to put in a grocery bag.

At the Ayase residence, Taro keeps the Evil Eye sealed inside him as Momo, Seiko, and Manjiro try to exorcise it out from Jiji's body. However, with the plan failing, Taro and the other invited guests join the Ayases for dinner. After eating the oden served, Taro unexpectedly causes the Evil Eye to release his hold on Jiji, after the young man reacts to the hot dish Taro put in his mouth, and helps Seiko to realize that Jiji can only be return to normal if he comes into contact with anything hot, while the Evil Eye can be released if he comes into contact with anything cold. Taro then asks Seiko as to how long he will loan out his body to Jiji since the situation he is in is interfering with his alone time with Hana. Seiko tells Taro that his frequent meetings with Hana will be put on hold and that she has set a ten o'clock curfew for them, much to his displeasure.

The next day, Taro is forced to accompany Jiji to the hospital to visit his parents and becomes annoyed with his compliments, such as putting his clothes on wrong or not moving as he likes. After making it to the hospital, Taro tries moving his body to be in tone with the moment of Jiji reuniting with his recovered parents, as suggested by Momo and Okarun, but ends up doing a bad job of it.

After the barrier from the talismans have been used up, Taro is given permission from Seiko to release himself from Jiji, much to his relief to finally relax his body.
