The Typhoon Human (台風人間 Taifū Ningen?) is a UMA in the form of a sentient typhoon, teleported by the Serpoians from the Philippines toward the plane directed to Shimane in order to take down Momo.

In Dandadan, it serves as the major antagonist during the Typhoon Human Arc.

Appearance[]

The Typhoon Human is a typhoon that has a nose, an ear, a mouth, and a gigantic eye at the center high up in the sky.

Synopsis[]

Current Saga[]

Typhoon Human Arc[]

The Typhoon Human gets teleported in Empty Space during the confrontation between the Family and the Kito Family while en route to Shimane, leading to damage to the plane's engine due to the cryptid's strong winds.[1] As a result of drawing in many frozen sharks from the sky, the Typhoon Human further damages the aircraft when the frozen sharks start to penetrate the plane.[2] In response to the Kitos using a Mongolian Death Worm to swallow and fire the frozen sharks in an effort to bring it down as Seiko planned, the Typhoon Human loads its nostril with two sharks and ejects them at incredible speeds, piercing through the worm and causing it to separate from the plane.[3] After Momo uses her psychic powers to have the worm fly up to the eye of the Typhoon Human, while she, Jiji and Unji ride with the Kitos, Momo has Jiji fire an Evil Gun at the eye as another attempt at defeating it. However, the Typhoon Human regenerates from the damage and fires a lightning bolt in retaliation. The group manages to steer from the path and avoids being hit by another lightning bolt from the Typhoon Human using the frozen sharks. The Typhoon Human then prepares for a third shot of lighting towards them down below. However, it is ultimately dissipated upon Jiji and Unji combining their powers to interfere with the vapor generation forming the living cryptid.[4]

Abilities and Powers[]

Tyohoon Human Abilities[]

Typhoon Human Physiology [v · e]
As the living embodiment of a typhoon, the Typhoon Human was born from the convergence of warm ocean water and the vapor it created. With the heated sea serving as its engine and the rising water vapor as its fuel, this cryptid remained active only so long as the cycle endured. If the warm water was cooled or disrupted, the Typhoon Human would lose its source of power and ultimately dissipate.
Overview
Typhoon Human's lightning discharge

The Typhoon Human unleashing branches of lightning.

The Typhoon Human possessed devastating elemental power, embodying the full wrath of a supernatural typhoon. It was capable of generating fierce, spiraling winds strong enough to cripple aircraft mid-flight, drawing in flying debris and marine life into its vortex, most notably live sharks. These airborne predators often collided with aircraft, inflicting severe structural damage upon impact. Its frigid internal temperatures flash-froze anything caught within its reach, which was especially punishing on the airborne sharks trapped within. At the eye of the storm, the Typhoon Human discharged concentrated lightning bolts, unleashing immense energy with precision in all directions.

In addition to its human eye, the Typhoon Human utilized its human nose defensively, inhaling frozen sharks and launching them with formidable force at its targets as projectiles. Its body parts also had the capability of regenerating from damage.

Urban Legend[]

The Typhoon Human is a mysterious entity reportedly sighted during storms that eyewitness accounts describe it as having strange flying characteristics, such as a giant nose or foot-like objects. Takeshi Nakazawa, a cryptid researcher, has commented on the Typhoon Human phenomenon, adding a mix of humor and speculation to the ongoing discussions. He noted that Typhoon Humans might have bizarre features beyond just a nose, jokingly suggesting that humanity itself could have origins linked to these beings.

Trivia[]

  • The airborne sharks the Typhoon Human attracts references the film series Sharknado, which depicts a fictional disaster phenomenon where a waterspout lifts sharks out of the ocean and hurls them into various places.
  • One of the sharks lifted by the Typhoon Human was incredibly big and was able to swallow the Mongolian Death Worm whole. It could be a Megalodon, whose species' existence was confirmed and thus not making it a UMA, but since they went extinct approximately 23 to 3.6 million years ago, its appearance here is peculiar.
